Treliving sounds downright rattled on the radio. Says that the narrative that the players don't care is "lazy" and "bull****".
Really just sounds very defensive. Agrees that the team is really inconsistent. He's speaking so fast that he's running out of breath. Pretty strange to hear.
No specific criticisms. He mentioned the coaches have to get the team prepared. Not much detail... talks about negativity. Also, said that if the team plays like horse**** on the ice and that'll lead to criticism. This is so different than most of his interviews with Steinberg, which are usually friendly and jokey.

Yeah Treliving was really fired up there. Never heard him like that before. Got a bull####! and horse####!, even. I understand his frustration though as he's gone all-in on Gaudrea, Monahan, and Ward which was a risky move and running out of time. Tons of talk about needing better off-ice preparation and coming into games focused, and players being ready to work "seven days a week", not "three".
Mentioned they like Lindholm at centre because it allows them to shelter Gaudreau and Monahan with offensive zone starts to exploit matchups. But followed that up with (paraphrasing) "at least that's the plan", whatever that means.
Liked the part where he said management needs to be better, coaching needs to better, and players need to be better. Reminded me of classic Jim Mora (0:30)
Worth a listen on replay though.

Tre talked alot but really gave us nothing new. Pretty much what I expected. Definitely sounded rattled multiple times. He's feeling the heat whether he admits it or not.
Location: F*** me. We're so f***ing good, you check the f***ing standings? Lets f***ing go! F***ing practice!

Good. Sticking up for his team, annoyed that people are saying they don't care or are lazy, when that isn't the case at all.
Way to go Brad, tell it like it is.

Oilers suck.
Tre was working pretty fast to try to get all of those words out of his mouth at once!!
It's clear he's feeling pressure from below (WAY below...like fans), but is he feeling it from above, too? Can't imagine that Murray gives a fat fig as long as the org is making money. But maybe?
At least it wasn't robotic for once. But if you invested in the coaching like you did the roster you probably wouldn't feel backed into a corner at this point.
Extending Ward was so lazy for a GM that went 6x6 on a goalie that could help you contend. Two moves that were on the opposite ends of the spectrum.
