And be thankful Lucic has been decent. Ward would still be giving him regular ice time if he wasn't

I like Markstrom

His post game interview quote was pretty good. Didn’t like his game, needs to be better

He’s right. The first goal, I don’t know why he raises his left pad. The push across started normal with pad down and, although he obviously wasn’t, it looked like he was trying to get the pad out of the way of the puck. The second one, a bad decision, but once you’re committed, you go. If you’re in for a penny, you’re in for a pound.

The 2 late goals in the second were wicked shots. No issue. But the first two were pretty much stinkers. He was fighting it tonight.

Still an awesome goalie. And the team didn’t do enough to win

And a lot of people don’t think Bennett can handle 3C full time.
He has proven line combinations that he refuses to use when things are clearly not working. That is insane. Need a goal? Don't load up a line. Heaven forbid, think of the chemistry. Just move scrubs along Monahan's right wing. Bennett can be there, but only for a couple games, then you need to give Simon his shot.

Beating a dead horse here, but there is a reason no team would hire this guy and a head coach except in the DEL.

I was surprised on the replay of the first goal - I thought it must have been short side and he was too late to save it, but it went right under the middle of him.

He’s gonna come back huge.

He wasn't up to his usual standard for sure...the two "bad goals" being a break away and a 2 on 1 says a lot though. Both were created because of mistakes of the skaters

Team needs to be better but Ward is just lost as a head coach.

Questionable lineup decisions before the game even started. Simon didn’t look good last game and dressed again, moving Bennett away from Lucic and Dube, and just making questionable lineup decisions all over.

Still hasn’t adjusted the breakout that Vancouver has figured out from game 1 of this series and they just feasted on it every time we tried the strong side breakout again.

The guy is not an NHL quality head coach and unless this hire was mandated by ownership then Treliving should probably be fired too.

Or maybe it’s the structure that he wants them to play that’s broken.

An outside view but people said they had a real HC in Peters after his first year here. They the team regressed again. Then it was supposed to be the goaltending but the results still stay the same. I know blaming one guy is the easy solution but maybe it's just a bigger problem than that.

These media are bad, no one ask Ward why simon start on the top line, just ask him why

You make it seem so easy - how are you not a head coach?

Bennett wasn’t working on that line. Yes, I know he scored. Hooray. They were getting jammed in their own end and he couldn’t get out of Gaudreau’s way.

To be fair Ward doesn't have a lot of great choices to play with Gaudreau and Monahan

Bennett couldn't carry a puck in a 5 gallon pail
Leivo/Simon are grocery sticks
Ritchie actually looked okay...low bar

That second Ward quote sounds like exactly something Charlie Simmer would say when he was color commentator haha.

You might benefit from actually reading my posts, as never once did I say I don’t care about this franchise. I want to see this team win a Stanley cup just as much as anyone.

This will be my only reply on this, as it’s been beaten to death already.
Sure, but you literally ventured into a GT recently to question others for simply watching the game. I fully get that it might come from a place of really wanting the team to be better, I do. But it comes across as you trolling and arrogantly mocking others.

"I just don’t know how you have hope."

"I don’t know why y’all decided to tune into this game in the first place. This was so predictable."

"I’d just rather not watch this gutless version of the team night after night, and a predictable loss to our rivals, with barely a whimper."

These were all from the comeback win GT against the Oilers.

Prior to that, you only posted in the PGT following a loss, or in a GT when we were losing. It shouldn't come as a surprise when others question it, regardless of your ultimate positive desires for the team.

If you're a part of the media and want to keep getting quotes, you aren't going to piss them off and ask hard questions.

It's just an unfortunate reality. There is very little to be gained from watching hockey interviews.

Not big enough, not offensive enough. There are no 1a centers on this team anywhere. And there are no guarantees this team makes the playoffs, with or without Lindholm at C.
I think Lindy's a lot closer to a #1C than Monahan.
I agree neither are the perfect option, but we all know that player isn't coming to the Flames this century.

There's definitely no guarantees we make the playoffs, definitely agree there.
But I don't see how going back to an old proven broke line system helps in anyway.

This team has 99 problem, Lindholm moving to centre aint one.

Much to say about those cherry picked comments considering all my other posts, but I’m not gonna bite.
