Yeah Flames dominated at 5v5 and good efforts from most of the team.

Tkachuk and Backlund remain an issue though. Just not themselves right now and so many turnovers.

Not trying to pile on....but my hope is people appreciate how excellent Hanifin and Tanev have been this season.

Positive difference makers!

Need more teammates to emulate and then you never know what’s possible.

I’m concerned with Markstrom. If he keeps playing like this, the guys in front of him will know they can half ass it and still win. We need all 20 guys to be all in every night.

I wonder if we can package Markstrom with Bennett. But it has to happen now to make sense.

Also, great comeback! Missed most of the 3rd but sounds like overall pretty good last 40! Let's make sure Hellebuck (where's the "y" go, I'm not looking it up) doesn't get his 300th win against us.

I always thought the red home jerseys were the classic incarnation of the uniform, but now I think the white aways are the best overall uniforms they've ever sported. They look so good in them (particularly Markstrom, who has me thinking "Joe who?").

Love the clean lines both teams were sporting tonight. I'm not much one for fashion or aesthetics but those unis definitely make the game better to watch (not that this one needed much help).

Well Ball and Hrudy was totally trying to jinx their 0 goals against 5 on 5 streak.

Markstrom though....yup.
Have to agree. Bennett played solid and contributed in most of his opportunities. It was a game where you weren’t shaking your head about his play. He kept is simple and didn’t try to do too much. Solid game Mr. Bennett. Keep it up.

I mean, you can't get better than 0 ESGA on the season.

Amazing what a "real Hamonic" for "what Hamonic was supposed to be" swap could do for Hanifin.

Why just GTs? I’m embarrassed for at least 80% of what I post.

Okay, all I've read so far is Johnny and Jacob...for good reason too. They were key to the win this game.

But I just want to stop and give Sean Monahan a LOT of credit.

He's really upped his defensive game this year. He's battling down low, taking pucks away from guys, and pushing the play up the ice. Not to mention he had 2 or 3 really fantastic chances to score, and he set up some nice plays as well. Then he scores that first shootout goal with a ridiculous shot.

People are talking about Johnny being back, but Monahan is back, and he brought the defense.

That's why this team is going to do good things this year.

Great comeback win.

Love the way Johnny is playing right now... Markstromm, man, that was a good signing - who knows where it will be at the tail end of the contract, but he's been amazing so far.

Pretty impressed with Valimaki getting time in OT. He's going to be a great rover.

Hanifin has been just as good as Tanev. Great partnership!

Yeah, he's getting more confident and reading the plays better every game.

Just childish tantrums.
Agreed, if you are turning off the game in the first 5 minutes you don't need to come to CP and tell us...and then complain for three hours about the game you aren't watching

Yup, I have been banging that drum for this whole season. Not sure if the fancy stats are showing it but Monahan is killing it in my opinion.

Also, I noted Mangipane has a very long neck lol
