Why be against trying something new? If it works, great! If it doesn't, they could always try something else, like maybe Lindholm on that line.

Thanks. I’m not opposed to trying something new, not at all. I just don’t see Leivo as anything terribly special. But, he is new. I hope he surprises.
My thinking is that if they think they would benefit from a speedy player, what about Mangiapane?
If they need a more physical player to create space, then maybe a guy like Bennett? That was kind of the theory with Ferland, but he didn’t play that style as much with top line minutes
Of the other new guys, Simon played with Crosby and reportedly has defensive acumen and some snarl
Like I say, sure it might work. But Leivo hasn’t been able to put together a full season in his 8 years in the NHL. The concern is if are just adding an average player to the line, or is there a player that brings a dimension that adds something specific that may really work
