I haven't watched any hockey in so long but go Lightnings.

Have ratings been down this year? I don't think I've ever not cared about the playoffs this much.

The Lightnings vs the Stars will mean I won't watch the finals I doubt many in Canada will care...

Game on! Isles getting outshot 8-2 half way through the first.

Eberle, Barzal and Lee all split up. Makes sense because that line's been accomplishing nothing. Desperate Isles have little left to lose.

Just a thought.

The Leafs? Did they make the playoffs?

Nelson & Eberle look like idiots as they both fly by Hedman giving him access to tee up the shot that tied the game.

Maybe 2-1 Lightning. Or offside.

Edit: yep, way offside.

The fact the linesman is right fn there and didn't call that offside shows how incompetent NHL officiating is. Like that was not remotely close.

He was concentrating on the icing, give the guy a break.

They got the call right.

Yeah....that bad of an offside non call happens once every 500 games.

Definite proof of overall officiating incompetence...

Sure Ron MacLean. An offside by 4 feet and nobody noticed because they were all looking at icing. Sounds believable.

I’m watching the intermission analysis and Friedman genuinely got angry at Bieksa. Was actually kinda funny because Friedman clearly couldn’t take a poke at himself.

There's only one person in position to call it there. The refs don't call offsides, so they're not watching for it. The other linesman was in no position to make the call there, so it ultimately comes down to the one linesman at the line. If he's concentrating on the icing, I could see it being hard to notice the offside since it's so rare that an attacking player will be that deep on a play like that.

I can’t remember but Bieksa made a joke against Friedman when segueing over, something about “less is more” and Friedman did the 6 year old comeback through clear anger choking up and retorting back, “here you are talking for the full six minutes talking about less is more” and in between realizing it has to come across as play. But he was clearly shook by the sudden dig.

Beauvillier with a double minor highsticking penalty with 1:23 left. Yikes.
