Maybe he should consider showing up in games 1-5.

Takes a special kind of idiot. Unbelievable.

That was nuts. If it wasn’t an end of head coaching career defining move, it has to be an end of GM career defining move

When you make a bet, you have to own the result

If anybody talks their way out of this, it’s a daycare, not a professional hockey team

I am happy to get to see the Flames finish out the season. Sucks they lose in the first round but this team had their chance and now big changes are coming.

I watched every game, skipped golf league a couple times to do it but I never felt like I do during a normal playoff scenario. I am disappointed but not in any kind of rage.

I am interested to see what this organization does moving forward

Complete self immolation, classic Flames coming up small when it matters. Thank Christ I’m old enough to remember 89, what a franchise.

Neither one is a legitimate #1 goalie.

Team with 2 backups, this was bound to happen.

Probably more like tears of joy. "I'm finally out"!

Just looked at the stats, only a single flames forward had more than 1 even strength point in the series, and Brodie (of all people) led the team with 3.

Gaudreau and Monahan with 0s on that board, but Seguin also put up squat.

Worst coaching decision in game for then Flames maybe in their history.

Call the time out, settle them down. Don’t put a goalie who the players have no confidence in, who has been pulled now in 5 of his last 8 games, to try and calm the team down? I blame Talbot for none of those 3 goals.

Rittich gets the loss, as he should. He can go away. There’s a reason coaches have not trusted him to play in playoffs. Flames did their best to not let Dallas shoot on him. His 3 goals were beyond pathetic, enabled by a coach who thinks he’s smarter then he is.
I agree Talbot shouldn’t have been pulled. But he should’ve stopped at least 2 of the three he let in.

People thinking the Flames are going to trade away JG and Monahan are dreaming. It won't happen. We will be in this exact same spot next year.

I think when people reflect tomorrow they will realise the Flames outplayed Dallas in this game. The issue is they didn't show up hard until period 2 of game 5, which leaves no margin for error.

I also really believe a quality coach gets way more out of this team. We definitely need some changes, but unless we hire a quality coach there is no point.

Different team than last playoffs. They just had zero tactical support from Ward.

Sucks.
