Looks like Average Flames ticket price is $77 CDN or $59 bucks US. Average would be the right number to take for this calculation also, assuming the average is calculated correctly on all tickets sold.
Saddle dome capacity: 19,238
19,238 x $59US x 41 home games = $46.5M USD
NHL Salary Cap (to which the Flames are tight) = $81.5M USD
As stated, it's far more complicated than that, tones of revenue streams missing, but also tones of expenses missing. Point being, selling out the Dome for 41 home dates barely gets the team past 1/2 of the on ice Players Salaries. So I'm sure profits are slim if any, and totally puts a light on why teams might try to push for playoff dates, that gate revenue has to be gold.

You don't really think a pint of C of Haze is actually worth $11.50 or the crummy nachos with plastic cheese are actually worth $8.00 or whatever they are going for, do you? The fact the team is actually halfway to covering player salaries without even getting into TV revenue, F&B sales, advertising and merchandise sales (all of which are enormous and typically not well reported) says a lot about the need vs desire element of raising ticket prices quite substantially once again.
Do I think the Flames are rolling in profit when it is all said and done, no. But if things were that tight, the team certainly wouldn't be up against the cap every year.

I imagine that after today, most corporate season ticket holders will not be renewing. We can probably expect 50,000 layoffs in Calgary over the next 4 months

Any opinions on the new Easy Pay renewal plan? You now have to contact the Flames to let them know that you will not be renewing, instead of them contacting you to try to convince you to renew. Sneaky

Easy Pay is definitely sneaky especially how they sell it as a huge benefit to the STH, but I feel like they've communicated it fairly well. You'd have to have your head in the sand to accidentally renew this year. For future seasons, I hope they continue to communicate rather than having it as a single line in the renewal email/letter.

This thread seems like a long time ago but I believe you have until March 23 to “opt out” of the automatic renewal for next year.
Timing couldn’t have been worse — COVID-19, likely no playoffs this year, lots of uncertainty next year in terms of the economy (that’s putting it mildly). And of course, the whole fiasco with (initially) not supporting their PT employees.
EDIT: Per hixxes post below, it looks like the renewal "deadline" has been postponed.

Any idea how to change payment options? My account manager is out of the office without access to email and when I call it goes nowhere.
I am going to get hit for the whole amount in 5 days and would prefer to defer

I believe you should be able to contact your bank and have them stop the transaction.

Did you check the website? I was able to change my card online, and I think they had the option to switch payment plans.

Refer to the FAQ page:

I read that as renewals have been postponed. Hopefully more details are provided soon.

You should be able to change the payment plan online. I'm pretty sure that when I renewed, I was presented that option.

What is everyone that is considering renewing doing now with the crisis. A few weeks ago we were prepared to renew and get playoff tickets. (pay as you go). At this point thinking about renewing is farthest from my mind. I really need to see what happens come April 1 to get a sense of how things may play out for the month.
Can we delay renewing without losing our seats?
Everyone please stay safe and healthy.

From the above link, looks official that they won’t be taking funds out or auto renewing us STH’s on Monday, and pushing the date a bit later.
Don’t think they can reasonably push this ahead with no product to sell, nor do they have the staff in the office to field questions right now for those that are actually thinking about it.
Will the payment deadlines be pushed back for renewals and playoffs?
We are grateful for your understanding and patience. At this time we will delay the renewal deadline and the payment deadline. We will provide new dates shortly. We will continue to communicate regularly with our Season Ticket Members with additional information as the situation develops.

With how wishy washy people have been over the last few years about tickets, I think they are in deep trouble on renewals. Most businesses are concerned about survival at this point so corporate boxes and tickets are easy way to chop expenses.
I also think based on the health of the economy the average STH will be hesitant to plunk down anything at this point. We are 100% giving up our seats at this point.

I deeply regret having selected the "pay for rounds 1&2" option for my playoff tickets, as they've already charged my card for that amount. I wasn't that worried about it before, as they just credit it toward my payments for next year.
But now I'm thinking with $10 WCS and coronavirus social isolation memories, I doubt I'll be able to sell the games I can't use next year at anywhere close to breakeven (especially with their new higher prices!) so I think I'm going to cancel.
I'll be calling my rep tomorrow to try and get that switched to pay as we play/refunded... Wish me luck.

Yeah, I can't imagine giving the Flames money now and hoping that you'll be taken care of whenever this thing gets started again
Probably get an old hat-trick collected hat as a 'refund' in Murray's world. After you prove you need it, that is

Basically, either a bunch of games this season will be cancelled, or a bunch of games next season will be. In either case, it's going to make my tickets for next year a fair bit cheaper. That's about the only silver lining out of this.
