I'm just going to stop here and give the Predators credit. That was an incredible comeback by them. Lots of heart on that team. Flames gave it everything they had as well. This game was a joy to watch despite the outcome.
#### happens. Take the point in a tough building and move on. Keep up the effort and intensity, and I guarantee you'll win a lot more than you'll lose.
I'm gonna remember this game more for Backlund's incredible performance. Sucks to drop a point and give Nashville 2 when they're right behind us but you want a team that stays hungry.
Honestly, on the tying goal, take a penalty - a big obvious trip/Interfernce with 4 seconds to go as they enter the zone. Not enough time for the PP to do anything . Game over

Lindholm was -3 and had a terrible game, yep better put him out to close out the win. What a ####ing useless POS Ward is, and I don't blame him he's not an NHL coach the failure is with our do nothing GM sitting with his thumb up his ass.

Was it in the third period where the timekeeper blew the horn and stopped that play? Maybe there was 0.1 second on the clock more than there should have been? /conspiracy
Tkachuk made a bit of a dumb play before the tying goal. I think he was trying to chip to himself for the ENG. It pretty much gave them the easy entry.

Ugh, of course, thus my comment. But whatever, is that what you want fill a post game thread with? A little comment that I already fessed up to being incorrect about?
I actually find it fascinating how in those crunch moments how often pro athletes and coaches just completely lose it.
Ha ha ha no kidding. You have your supposed best players out there for the final seconds and four of them totally lose their composure. I could see one or two players having a tough shift but it's hard to explain how four (Rittich, Lindholm, Brodie, Gio) could collectively play that so poorly there.
I guess the silver lining is at least I should see a pissed off Flames team Saturday when I'm in attendance in Tampa and then hopefully Sunday as well against Florida.
Beyond frustrating to lose that game with .1 second left against the team right behind us. Instead of being up 4 points, we're only up 1 and Nashville has 2 games in hand.

He had a bad game, but he’s still the second best defensive forward on the team. You go with the odds there, IMO.

Tough one and no longer in a playoff spot if trailing teams win games in hand. Hopefully this version of the Flames responds well to adversity.
I don’t get the unacceptable in the thread title? What was unacceptable? Yeah some questionable D and goaltending at the end but teams tying it late and then winning in OT are a pretty common occurrence. It’s not like they blew a 5 goal lead or lost on a dumb penalty.

I've been saying all season that what bugs is not that they lost, it's how they lost. How many times have they gone out with a whimper?
This was a really good game that they deserved to win, but Nashville just had the stuff at the right time. Tough result in a tight race, but I can live with it.

Come on, Lindholm is one of the Flames better defensive players and a center...him and Backlund were out there for faceoffs
