Eat bread went through the defensemans legs, and popped out the other side, still skating.

It's still a bit wierd to have defensemen on PP2 who don't just look Bennett off on the right side.

Dougie Hamilton was the worst at this, Bennett would be winding up and Dougie would get tunnel vision for the net

It’s amazing how many unforced turnovers Calgary has had this game

Better period though the Canes were pushing pretty good at the end.

Hard to believe 1 goal is going to win this thing so they best come out being aggressive again.

What, because he didn’t get it deep? He bailed out Gio twice on that shift, including a giveaway in the slot caused by passing way too far behind Monahan. Yes, he made a mistake, but there were 3-4 more egregious errors by other players on the same shift.

Default Flames @ Hurricanes

A pretty decent road game for the flames so far, team hasn’t been great but a win here would be a solid start to the road trip

It’s because Brodie handles the puck like a hand grenade, panics and coughs it up. That play was almost a 3-1 the other way.
It’s not like the guy has done it once; he’s done it regularly for several seasons.

Another good period. Slow to start but slowly took over as it went. Carolina limited to a small flurry of chances in the back half.

This game is Calgary’s to win or lose; the third period will tell us about the character of this team

Strange that Flames are having so much trouble burying scoring chances so far this season (considering how many goals they scored last season).
