Practice October 7 - Bennett promoted to second line

People need to step away from the ledge regarding our depth. It's been 3 games. If you randomly take any 3 game stretch from last year, you'll see that one or two lines were playing well, and one or two weren't. That's how it goes.

The only difference is that these are the first 3 games of the year, so for the lines that haven't played well, there is no example of games to fall back on. But it ebbs and flows.

So let's just calm down and give the team that finished 2nd overall last year , 10-20 games before we start trading half of the roster.

Looks like Bennett played himself out of another opportunity again. I really wish he would stop taking useless, untimely penalties. I love Bennett and his grit and compete level but it just always seems like one step forward and one step back with him. Judging by Peters' post game comments, looks like Mange may have an extended stay on the 2nd line and I'm more than ok with that.

At least he's getting better on the penalty front ...

His taken / drawn splits have improved every year.

IMO, he just doesn't have the creativity to play in the top 6. He likes to cycle and play in the boards, but when it comes to open-ice play, he chokes.
