Getting me a Lucic sweater after that.

Meanwhile Lucic manhandled multiple Avalanche players, and immediately stood up for a teammate after a cheapshot. That's honestly not something we've seen much from this team for years. Lomberg last year going after Dumba comes to mind. Even Brouwer jumped somebody (Dustin Brown?) to stand up for Gio.
I loved seeing that from Lucic, not to mention his strong boardwork and actual hockey sense.

I found it interesting that none of the Avs would even go near Lucic when he had the puck during the Flames empty net.
Jesus Edmonton really is a cesspool of soul sucking depression.

Exactly what I was thinking, it felt exactly like that series..so annoyed the NHL scheduled us to start against them, I'm so sick of the Avs..you own us, we get it. Who else ya got now?
Edit: and yes that Lucic punch was so satisfying, love him already. God I hate Zadorov

Shocked that that high stick on the 2nd goal isn't getting more run...that was a terrible mis-call by the officials.

Sportnet glossed over it live and didn't even mention it in the highlights

Lol, I think there's a different reason for that.
If you give the puck to lucic in a 6-5, all the other guys will be covered.
I'd let him hold it all period if possible.

Like that much better than this.
We badly needed someone like Lucic on the team for incidents like the Czarnic hit, and the Dube hit last year that cost Hamonic his jaw. Teams won't take as many cheap shots when their smirk turns into a few lost teeth.

The missed high stick, the phantom Kylington penalty because Burakovsky tripped himself, the Backlund shove penalty on Nieto, the no call on the blatant jersey grab on Gaudreau, the no call on the push on Ryan behind the net, the no call on the breakaway trip... if this keeps up I’m going to need to find something else to do in the winter.

Every player has bad games. He was scratched last season. He is still a good player.

True, but it is a problem that the majority of teams have. The nature of the league. Everyone could upgrade their top 6.
