When I cross country ski, I often forget to take off my wax pack (ok, it's a fanny pack) when I sit in the car, and it digs into my back. I felt Barry's uncomfortable entrance to the car seat before he even sat down.
Great finale. I don't think there is a character on that show I didn't love.
The small touch of adding the difficulty he has closing the car door was brilliant. The whole absurdity of someone buying guns then angrily marching away with those guns while casual supermarket music plays in the background was great.
Edit: had the wrong scene. The gun bit is at the end.

What a great social commentary that gun scene was. Clearly deranged man walks to a counter, shouts GUNS!, is given a massive amount of weaponery, then proceeds to calmly exit the store fully laden without anyone even glancing up at him. Kids, mothers, everyone around acting like it's a natural thing.
I kind of lost track of this partway through Season 2 and I'm OK with just letting it go. Hope the finale was enjoyable, the show had it's charms but it just never grabbed me.

It's worth watching the rest just for the saga of NoHo Hank.

Really enjoyed the conclusions for Fuches and Sally. Barry's ending was appropriate but can't help thinking so was the season 3 conclusion and they could have stopped there.
Another time jump and finishing on a non-main character felt awkward.

This show loved to mock film making at times, and my favourite example of that was the final gun battle.
Mocking unrealistic drawn out gun fights in film that go on forever with choreography and heroic moments by instead having everyone drop within seconds either dead or severely injured as per what would actually happen at close range like that had me laughing so hard.
Just perfect. Especially since it was such a climatic moment in the series finale. Brilliant.

The fact that so many people were horribly wounded and crying out for help afterwards made the whole thing seem both totally absurd and realistic at the same time.
NoHo Hank is one of my favorite characters ever, film or TV
In retrospect every single main character on the show is a complete piece of selfish crap. They all could be primary villains in any other show. Yet, so many are so likeable....well not Sally. Watching her was like watching the living embodiment of nails on a chalkboard at times.

Well her part was an amateur actor in acting school. She nailed it with her bad acting!
and she is in some new series? You couldn't pay me $1000 to watch it! lol

Honest to God...I dont think there has ever been a line, or a delivery of it, in any show that has made me laugh that hard on the spot.
The show might be called 'Barry' but NoHo Hank was the star.
It was a great line and delivery, but my favorite happened in this episode.
It was Barry saying "Oh, wow!" in that surprised childlike way after being shot. And then the subsequent events shortly after. That's a perfect moment.

Agreed that was a powerful ending for Barry. A big theme is if horrible people can be redeemed and Barry thought he had two opportunities for redemption neither of which went to plan. Was similar to Hank’s arc where thought he was redeemed by going legit yet couldn’t admit to his dark side.
Compare with Fuches who first had to embrace his dark past before he found an opportunity to change. Sally felt the same where she realised she’d been a horrible selfish person and was able to move forward as a good mother.

My impression was that Sally and Fuches didn't change.
Fuches gets all of his friends killed or horribly maimed, and then runs off. Fuches accepted his toxicity, but didn't do anything to really change it. He continues to put everyone around him at risk with his actions, including his new wife and daughter.
Sally doesn't notice when her son says I love you. She still seems obsessed with accolades. She seems totally distant and emotionless, except for when she smiles at the flowers she received after her play. She doesn't seem to really care about what her son is doing. He says he's staying somewhere else, and she just seems to say sure.
