I like Smith, and he's been great as of late. Yet, every time he starts to play 3rd d-man my heart palpitates. I know it's 'his thing' - but sometimes he should stay put

I hate to agree, but yup, they were pretty bad together that period. Brodie not terrible by himself in other situations. That tells me that Prout is dang bad.
Honest question, why haven't we gotten Stone into a game yet? Am I missing something?

He played (six minutes of) one a couple weeks ago, but yeah, this confuses me too. Stone should be playing over Fantenberg and Prout, in my opinion. Hope we see him again soon.

In my opinion, brodie isnt a bad defenseman on his own, hes just not good enough to cover up for a partner who makes mistakes hes best when he plays with someone who make very few mistakes and can cover up for some of his.

Did you miss the part where his forecheck caused a turnover for Monahan to pass the puck to Giordano for a goal?
People see what they want to see I guess. Neal has been one of the better players on the team since his return from injury.
