They still have to make the floor and will need to replace Duchene, Stone and Dzingel with something.

That is why I have a sneaking suspicion (which I am afraid to even utter) that Neal might be part of the package.

Reading between the lines, sounds like that means Kylington.

Maybe Mangiapane as a tack-on.

I believe that’s the longterm thinking on Stone.
No thanks. We trade Tkachuk if we cant fit in both Johnny and Stone unless Johnny explicitly says he wants to go back to the east coast.

I think it's far more likely that they sign their own version of Raymond of Engelland.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Stone
Tkachuk - Backlund - Lindholm

that is as good of a top 6 as any in the league - who compares?

They are going to have to do both. Right now, they have 15 contracts for next year at $46.3M

Tampa and Toronto on paper, but yes that is a very good top 6.

Best top 6 winger collection in the league no question.

I don't see how Neal or any of them would waive to go there.

I really like Stone but it would be weird having a team with 4 top line caliber wingers with
Johnny
Stone
Tkachuk
Lindholm

and around $28M in cap tied up on them. (assuming Stone and Tkachuk sign long term)

Would rather add a top 6 scoring center instead of another elite winger.

I think some of the eastern powerhouses are that good up front but yeah, that’s a cup contender for sure.

Plus it’s not like our bottom 6 and defense are weak points. The team has great depth

The deal gets vetoed and Treliving is fired?

This cannot be thanked enough. Does Treliving hate goaltending?

Tkachuk, Gaudreau, Monahan, Lindholm, Backlund, Stone up front and Gillies Rittich in net? Million dollar home built on sand.

I don’t see a sign and trade scenario being viable. Ottawa has, by all reports, been hanging onto the pipe dream of resigning Stone and has not let teams talk to him about an extension. Assuming they give up tomorrow, can you really get that type of discussion done in a day or so? This guy is going to want 10 mil per.

I wonder if Ottawa is on Frolik's 10 team no trade list?

I'm worried Bennett goes in a stone trade.

I really like how Bennett's all round game is shaping up

I’d say flames should just go for it this season. Trade away as many picks as you need to, who cares, this year might be the best shot at a cup they have for who knows how long.

If Calgary gets and keeps Stone, I don't see Neal with the Flames for long due to age and upside of Stone.
