Yep, but often I see someone suggest the trade & sign then someone retorts with a comment about sign & trade.

Just wanted to point that out. Can be confusing, I know.

I doubt anything will happen unless the prices drop which they might by Sunday evening. I think the flames could afford Dzingel or Burakovsky....

easily Zuccarello for me. Has a little edge to his game and IMO would fit perfectly in our middle six.

as for the price ... a 2nd maybe? A 3rd plus a prospect? No idea.

Lots of guys turn down a big amount with their old team, then sign for less elsewhere. Happens pretty regularly, and we only have to look as far back as Lindholm for an example.

With Duchene now off the market, i hope if the flames make any move it will be for Zuccarello. I think he brings speed and a bit of grit even though he's a smaller player.

I'd like to think it will cost us a 2nd and maybe a middling prospect, ideally we will get that 2nd back before the draft thanks to some Tre magic.

Personally I don't think this is the year to go all in (for example trading a 1st and someone like Kylington for a Mark Stone) but i think adding at least one piece is a great way to show the team that management believes they can do some damage this year. Then this summer is the time to really analyze the goalie situation which should be much clearer after playoffs, as well as what this team is still lacking. Either way, can't wait to see what Tre does or doesn't do. I like our chances in the playoffs either way!
