Well they're not only trash but they're incredibly stupid.


1) Peter's takes that matchup of the number 1 line of the Flames versus the third pairing of Benning and Manning. Why, because bar none, Manning is the worst defenseman in the NHL, and that matchup guarantees a blow out of the Oilers.


2) Lets say that the Oilers do take liberties, the Flames powerplay and especially the second unit is playing very well. Oiler fans might cheer on liberties against JG, but how long will that last if the Flames hard core pump the Oilers because of stupid play on their part


3) Peter's is no wilting flower of a coach. If they start taking runs at our best players, the Oilers have a lot more to lose and McDavid goes through the boards face first. I don't like that option, but that's what it is. Hey Manning or Kassian or Lucic, you hurt one of ours, hows McDavid being pounded look to you


4) Besides, Oiler fans clearly don't watch their team with much understanding. We saw the other night the scrimmage at the end of the game where the Oilers for the most part stood by and watched their players outnumbered. We see McDavid get hit with no retaliation. That's a bad dressing room without a lot of toughness or determination.



The Oilers need to win this game to stay in the playoff conversation, taking stupid shots at Gaudreau for example and stupid penalties doesn't help them. Its just stupid pseudo tough guy Oil fans sitting in their moms basement wearing a "I grok Spock" T-Shirt while crying that their mom bought them the wrong flavor of juice box.

How can someone have a positive goal differential on the PK, that's crazy
