I don't think it's a jinx until the game is actually on, and it's looking good.

Let’s see how they play over the next few games shall we before we get too comfortably into “I told you so” mode.

Always love a Flames win but let’s not pretend we haven’t seen this rodeo for the last 20 years shall we?

If they consistently play like they care for 10-20 games I’ll very happily change my tune that the players don’t really care enough. To be successful we need consistent efforts like this night in and night out not once every few games and then get all cocky and lazy if things go well for awhile.

Loved the win, at some point we’re still going to need secondary scoring.

Peters in his postgame says the league owes Treliving an explanation on the whistle when the Flames were breaking out of the zone on an empty net. He was not pleased with that or the Giordano call and said the officials were searching for the trifecta with a phoney icing call.

The funny thing is that the Leafs crowd and Babcock whined like babies every time the Leafs took a penalty and they got two powerplays on plays that are not a penalty ever in any game.

Can someone post the weak penalty call on Tavares?

Any other phantom / weak calls by the ref?

Thanks in advance!!

Good for Peters. That was a pretty rough game for the refs. They need to be better. That Gio call was horrible, especially in a tight game to put the Leafs on a 5-on-3. Can't call garbage like that.

What does that have to do with enjoying a huge road win?

Day at a time.

The last 20 years have no relevance to tonight’s game or the teams play for the rest of this season.

I was more disappointed in the blown whistle after the no goal. They blew it because too many Leafs were celebrating and out of position?

Elias Lindholm mite be the second best all around forward on the roster 2nd to only Tkachuk of course. He is well on his way to having one of the best contracts in the league.

Clearly that's what they did which is BS as there's nothing in the rule book (that I know of anyway) that says if a team celebrates a non-goal on a puck that never enters the net the whistle shall be blown. I know they will say they blew the whistle because the puck was on the net but I don't think they even knew where it was and when a Flame picked it out and started skating down the ice they blew the whistle because the Leafs weren't paying attention.

Worst part about the Gio call is the FLAMES were breaking out with the puck. Why would Gio try to push JT into the net to knock it off.

Would you rather see a 4.5 million dolllar Brouwerplay?

Stone is sitting because we have a 20 and 22 year old rookie defencemen who surprised and made the roster. That's no slight on Stone, and a good problem to have.
