I'm all for it just for the subsequent Oiler freak out.

Maroon to the Flames yes please guy is a total dick to play against, knows the importance of sticking to screening a goalie.
Put him alongside M&G and you have instant protection with a decent player in Maroon.
Put him alongside Chucky and you have an absolute s##t disturber line.
Yes sign him if possible.

Treliving himself said he was going to add scoring and so far, neither Ryan or Czarnik provide that, so I'm betting he adds an actual scorer. Might be through free agency or even through trade.

I’m coming around to the idea of signing Maroon as long as the term and cap hit are reasonable. Something close to what Ryan got would be ideal.

Having added the two right handed shots already today helps a bit with regard to acquiring another left handed one if the fit is right.

Depending on term, I might be okay with this. If it's no more than three years, but ideally two years, sure why not. Anything more than that and I'll be disappointed.

Yeah I don't have a problem with his hockey sense at all. He was a good third wheel on a pure cycle line with Getzlaf and Perry a few years ago and he was a good third wheel as a trailer on the McDavid/Draisaitl line a couple years ago.
I just don't know if we're a fast enough team to offset his footspeed in the present day. Teams that are successful lately do it by swarming from all directions on the forecheck and we've already got some slower-footed forwards on different lines with Monahan / Tkachuk / Brouwer. If we could drop Brouwer I'd be for it though, something like Maroon-Jankowski-Frolik or Maroon-Bennett-Lindholm would both be lines that have a good mix of everything.

It will definitely be under $4 million. I would expect a 2 year $2.25/yr deal.

That seems incredibly low. You think he'll get less term and dollars than Blake Comeau received?
