No riots, no violence, just impressive sportsmanship.

Riots, violence and poor sportsmanship are not the norm, that's the anomaly, and Vancouver is the anomaly.
There wasn't a riot in Montreal when the Flames won on their fabled ground. I can't recall a single riot or violence in a losing team's City with the exception of good old Vancouver.

Most Vegas locals aren't hanging out in Casinos in the middle of the night on a Thursday...not that I would expect them to pull a Vancouver

I was wondering what the party situation would be like when I saw all the families on the ice with the Cup. Good to see the boys managed to get away on their own: "Don't wait up."

Of all the places to win the Cup, Vegas would have to be number one.
They might still be partying. haha.

Around 930 MT Ovechkin was sharing live video on Instagram again.
They were on the bus to the airport I think - and he was still crushing bud lights.

Russians and most Europeans can party hard with no rest I feel for the Cup handler who has to be with the cup everywhere it goes. I'm sure he got a grand tour of all the VIP areas around Vegas, and then some. I hope there's a couple of them who take different shifts. Otherwise he is going to be one tired man trying to keep up with OV.

Its been said, but being winning the Cup in Vegas is the best place to win if it you can't win it at home.

Uh...
· 1986 - Some 5,000 jubilant Montreal fans celebrating the Canadiens' Stanely Cup win over the Calgary Flames rampaged through the city's downtown. Officials were so poorly prepared that Quebec courts ruled police criminally negligent.
· 1993: Montreal's Stanley Cup victory over the Los Angeles Kings turned ugly when fans began vandalizing stores and setting police cars ablaze. Nearly 170 people were injured and more than 100 were arrested. The violence caused an estimated $2.5 million in damage.
· 2008: Cars were burned and downtown stores were trashed after the Canadiens beat the Boston Bruins to advance to the second round that season's playoffs.
· 2010: Looters smashed windows and clashed with police on Montreal's Ste-Catherine St. after the Canadiens defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins in the final game of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. At least 25 people were arrested.
While it is true that Montrealers seem only to riot when the Canadiens win, they and Vancouverites are pretty much the poster-children for hockey riots.

I would rather win in Vegas then home. No family or distractions. Epic celebration there

I don’t know about the family part, pretty sure each player had most immediate family members in the building.

If you read the WAPO article it sounds like a number of family members also went along with the players to the nightclub.

I surprised myself how much I was rooting for the Caps. Even in 2011 it wasnt so much cheering for Bruins as it was cheering against the Canucks. I don't recall ever cheering this much for a team.
Maybe Flames fans see a bit of Iggy in Ovi so they wanted to see that story finish differently.
Ovi's Cup win just felt so right, and it makes me mourn even more what could have been in 2004 for Iggy.
Ah, sports. A cruel mistress.
Congrats to Ovi. Only the 4th player ever have 3 Harts and a Conn Smythe.
