Just looked on natural stat trick, and the Flames are top 3 in CF% and (i think?) even better, they are top 3 in High Danger CF%.

Perhaps they have left and come back numerous times?

Micheal Ferland got his 18th goal in his 41st game tonight.

That means he is tied with Tarasenko, Patrick Kane, Nathan MacKinnon and Phillip Kessel.

He has one more goal than Jamie Benn, Malkin, Kopitar and Steven Stamkos.

Three more goals than Sidney Crosby. Four more goals than Connor McDavid.

Anyone still want to tell me he doesn't belong on the first line?

He seems to recognize the PP issues. One and out. But thats been an issue for months. Time to change it, maybe put Gio and Stone and start firing bombs from the point?

For half a season? Yes, yes it is.

He should take up shooting pucks again or he's gonna get into Thornton territory.

We were the better team for the first two periods. Instead of attacking in the third we sat back and let the Wild come after us. Over all we played a good game and deserved the win.

Both Stalock and Smith were at their best tonight.

Spoiler!

Ha! #### you Wild!!! Can't stand that team and how they always seem to hang around. Solid road win with some scary moments, but Smith bailed them out when needed. Still not a fan of his puck playing, he had a ton of giveaways. I can't help but think that he's gonna lose us a playoff game or series playing like that. And yet, he showed just how great a glove hand he has, over and over, and how clutch he can be. Actually a pretty good goaltending battle between both goalies.

4 wins in a row, Oilers lose. Back in playoff spot. All is right in the Universe!

As far as I can tell, Flames have the second best winning percentage on the road, next to Tampa Bay

If it were a sure thing, they wouldn't play the games. We'll see.

They can't have a period like that third if they want a chance, though. I'll say that much.

Another huge win, team is continuing to play very good 5 on 5 but making things way harder on themselves than need be with the pathetic PP.

I've posted this a bunch of times but seeing as how Cameron and co still aren't getting a clue or getting axed here it is again:

Run the PP through Gaudreau on the right side flank, with Monahan in his office in the slot, Tkachuk in front of the net in the area he excels, with Gio on the right point and Hamilton on the left point/flank. Have 1 timer options on the point and can also work it down low on either side with Gaudreau/Hamilton who are very good on the PP. Could also set up Hamilton sneaking in from the point when Gaudreau has it...so many options and ways to set up scoring plays with that mix.

Have Brodie-Stone on the 2nd unit with Backlund and 2 of Ferland/Bennett/Janko.

It's really not rocket science.

Also good to see Hamilton with another game winner and on the ice for OT. Of course he was only on because Brodie was in the box but they really need to play him in OT more.

Great play by the captain.

Also, LOVED the emotion by Johnny when they confirmed it as a good goal. He was fired up and I love seeing that.
And then enough gas in the tank to get a change so that Dougie can hop on the ice for the GWG. Fittest guy on the team for a reason.

P.S. Going to need to see a gif of Johnny (thanks in advance )

For both sides. Not a fan of the parade near the end of the game, but Flames got away with a ton of stuff too all night long.

#1 issue with the NHL is the reffing. Not the lack of offence. Not the game being over coached. Officiating.

Said they were actually better the last time and they had a great game by Smith. Said they need to generate more on the power play rather than one and done (and I don't think point shots are the answer there - they need to create close in chances) and said they played too passively and let the Wild back in.
