I'm not sure Brouwer's actually playing better, just anyone looks a lot better with Backlund and Tkachuk.

Yeah, true, but he's had a bunch of scoring chances and does a good job in general, so I guess it's working for now anyway. He probably needs to get a bit more productive to stay on with that line for any length of time though.

Announcers talking about a penalty they think should have been called. Not much else to talk about with Oilers down 2-0 I guess.

I haven't wanted to defend Brouwer in over a calendar year because, well, he's been indefensible, but I've seen some of the best hockey from Brouwer as a Flame since he's been elevated to that line. He's much more creative with the puck and he's playing smart hockey at both ends of the ice. Still has terrible hands, but he's contributing meaningful plays finally.
