He went 11/11 in faceoffs. Pretty much helped drive possession for his line.
Of course it was against Belarus, the whipping boy of the tournament, so does it mean much? I am not sure.

Ferraro used to be just cringy-terrible, but that happens to new broadcasters, I think hes really matured over time and I like him now.
But some just cant let that first impression go.

I usually don't mind him but he's been annoying today. Particularly his comment about how "Finland shouldn't be asking for any more gifts" after an obvious penalty to Team Canada, in a game where Canada was clearly gifted a goal

This Finnish team has lots of individuals on it, lots of poor shots from awful angles when they have better options to pass too. Also really bad team defense. Seems like they all want to be Laine

Sorry if this has already been covered - What is the status of Eetu Tuulola?
I think he made the team but he is not playing.

He hasn't officially made the team despite almost everyone reporting that he has.
He traveled with the Finnish team to Buffalo, but hasn't been registered to Finland's roster.
Finland deciding between him and another player for the final roster spot. They can fill out the roster later on in the tournament.
Essentially on the taxi squad for Finland.

But thats pretty standard 'Canada-Centric' TSN cheerleading though.
I hate that too. I honestly still dont see how in the hell they called that first Canada Goal as good.

How on earth are there that many empty seats for TC, playing in Buffalo?
Was there a blizzard today or something?

Probably cost and 'who cares about Finland?'
I dont know, I think Finland have been one of the more interesting and talented teams to watch, I enjoy watching Finland, they're like a team that doesnt have tons and tons of high-end talent, but they have some, but they still have to maintain discipline and strategy.
Finland and the Czechs are those teams that cant score their way out of trouble so they have to play a different kind of game. I like it.

First, Finland is definitely on the list of teams you would want to watch TC play.
And second, when the tournament is in Canada or a US boarder city, it pretty much sells out on package ticket sales.
I cannot remember the last time I saw empty seats for a TC game that was being played in NA.

lots of snow the past few days and cold today but doubt that's impacted much. Probably jacked up the prices for Canada games.

I dont disagree. The Finns are good. But its likely a combination of it being the first game and people assuming Canada is going to win it.
Like you said, package ticket sales. This might be in there but maybe not everyone cares.
Its also game 1.
And 'sellouts' and 'butts in seats' are not the same thing. A seat may be sold without a butt necessarily being in it.
I dont know, just ideas.
