Bennett needs to stay. You don't sell low. Ferland is over achieving so if anything ship him out if someone really wants trashy Kane here.

So ferland has been over achieving for the past couple of years. But let's keep Bennett who hasn't lived up to one penny of his contract ?

Bennett for Kane is not selling low. That would be Buffalo getting fleeced.

Who do they have that can fit on our second line?
I would like to see this next year, give Tkachuk a chance to be the boss on his own line;
Johhny - Monny - Ferly
Frolik - Backlund - xxxxx
Tkachuk - Jankowski - Bennett
Mangiapane - Dube - Hathaway
If we could just get a nice top 6 RW, I think we would be golden.
Also, I may switch lines 2 and 3 depending on how well they do.

You could put Bennett on that line and he would put up more points then Ferland.

Dave Cameron would know Robin Lehner from his coaching days in Ottawa. Have not heard anything just my thoughts on possible people Treliving could be looking at.

in what world is Buffalo getting fleeced by trading an impending UFA with notorious office issues - possibly the most public in the entire league - for a 21 year old center with high pedigree who is signed to a 2 year bridge deal?

I'd be careful with bigger names in Buffalo. Somethings off there, like Florida or Edmonton from years past. Maybe there's a Dubnyk or Cogliano that can be had for good value. But I'll be a bit cautious about upper roster players.

Something up in Buffalo? Treliving scouting back to back Sabres games

Ferland: on pace for 33 goals / +2 / CF% 52
Kane: on pace for 43 goals / -5 / CF% 49
In addition, Ferland has achieved his totals while only receiving limited PP, an average of 1:58. Kane has an average PP TOI of 3:05. Not to mention, Ferland has overcome from a huge personal battle which really exemplifies his character and commitment. Kane is a cocky blowhard who only performs well when it suits him. I’ll take Ferland on the top line over Kane 10/10.

I honestly don't think the Flames have to make any roster moves right now.

Not only is Evander Kane a controversial figure, but what would the Flames need another LW for? We're fine with Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Bennett, Versteeg, Glass, plus any number of Ferland, F. Hamilton or a couple of AHL guys can play there.

He looks to have really stagnated. Doesn't help that aside from O'Reilly, Eichel and Kane and maybe Ristolainen, the rest of that team is still hot garbage.

40 goals since last season, no off ice issues recently, 26 years old.
Bennett big underachiever, 14 goals since last year most ice time with no points to start the season.
I like Bennett alot. I want him to be better but after 3 seasons who really knows. Maybe he turns it on next year maybe he struggles to get 10.
Maybe the Flame get Kane and sign him. Maybe he has matured and put issues past him. Maybe not.

Given that GG likes to roll 4 lines I don't think it would be terrible to upgrade the 4th line.
Stajan, Lazar and F. Hamilton haven't really siezed a regular spot in the lineup so if you could add one more forward it might not be a bad idea, especially seeing Stajan struggle so mightily out there this season.
I know we got guys in the minors but I would prefer they marinate longer and be injury callups (Hathaway might be ready for a spot but we've seen a fair amount of games of him in the bigs and he's in a similar grouping as the 3 mentioned, and it seems a 4C is what we need).
Not a major issue as our top 3 lines look good but the time will come when we need a line that plays ~11mins a night contributes more regularly. Even if it's only getting chances, which the 4th line doesn't seem to be doing (Freddie was setup by Jagr on his chance and Versteeg is raking up PP points, rather than 5v5).
