Assassin's Creed looks awesome, I LOVE the setting. Ptolemaic Egypt during Cleopatra's time, so you've got a strong possibility of Roman involvement too. As well as (indirectly) Hellenistic Greece, though there's rumours you may be able to sail to Greece itself.
Speaking of which, love to see the return of naval as well. Obviously there's always hesitation with an AC game especially after the Unity debacle. But considering this is the same team that was lead developer for Black Flag (this is their first AC they've been in charge of since then) - which has gone down with pockets of fans as the best AC ever - I'm feeling confident about this one being good.

Pretty impressive that the XB1X (not a fan of the name personally) is the smallest XBOX ever. I kind of wish they went back to white like XBOX 360. I have an XB1S in white and it's a nice looking piece of hardware.

Yeah I went this way for all pre-orders for non-exclusive games. If you have a 4K TV it appears there's clearly going to be a fair bit of visual separation between the X and other consoles.

I don't have a 4K TV and probably won't upgrade till I can find a 4K of comparable size to our existing 1080P TV (and at a reasonable price). I feel that even with 1080P on an Xbox One X I can take advantage of the higher graphic fidelity and supersampling.

Really good show, but not a show that made me feel any desire to get an Xbox. All the best looking games they showed are multi-platform -- Metro, Assassin's Creed, Shadow of War, Anthem (that looked like what I wish Destiny 2 was). Cool games, but Xbox One X seems like a steep price for some bumped up graphics.

Yea, Xbox still has a serious lack of cool exclusive games. A powerful console is useless if there's nothing to play on it. By far the biggest cheer they got was OG Xbox games being brought into the backwards compatibility library.

$499 US. Surprised they're doubling down again at that price point. Damn, figured they could get the price way more competitive than that with how long they've been dragging out the release for it.
And given the time too I thought they could at least get some decent first party stuff lined up for it as well. So much third party money hat paid timed exclusivity instead. Player Unknown is a good get but kinda funny how you specifically want an lower fidelity in that game to see opponents more easily.

So Financial Post is saying it's $599 Canadian.
Which seems crazy with the current conversion being close to $669.

Slightly more powerful hardware is one of the things that drew me to PS4 initially, so the specs of the X definitely have some appeal. The vast majority of my favourite games are multi-platform, so this console's potential to render those in their finest form (console-wise anyway) could help to sway me back to the other side. I also have always slightly preferred Xbox's controller.
I'm interested to see what Halo 6 ends up looking like, whenever that gets introduced. With the buzz being that they're going for a more gritty, realistic atmosphere focused more exclusively Master Chief, that could also be quite great.
We shall see. Decisions to be made at a later date!

The article even mentions that the $599 price point is $80 less than the converted $599 US to CAD. Maybe it's the true price.
Are there places where we can pre-order yet?
