I feel like I'm drunk looking at these ticket prices.
I must have went to 5 playoffs games in 2004, while a student and working part time. I now have a real job and am pretty responsible with my money, not even a possibility of going to a single game this year.

How are these prices compared to the Oilers? At first glance, they look pretty similar? Maybe a bit lower?

The truth is somewhere in between this haha.
They've definitely better than not being there. But they are far from the best.
If you can get near center ice in the bottom couple/several rows they are OK. If you're up at the top or way off to the side they're really not that good. The extra $30-$60 to get into the second bowl is well worth it IMO.

Quite a few tickets available in the 200's seating on general sale starting from around $220 each.

Hahahahahaha! No thanks, I'll watch at home.

good grief, why not just make the price a nice round number - if you are in for a g-note; what is another $37.80 to make it an even $1,100.....
I'd love to go to a live playoff game; however, at that price, i'll sit at home - no line up for washroom or concession and parking is handled....
I just had a look on stubhub - cheapest tickets at Honda ctr are $35 - cheapest tickets in Calgary are $90

Different strokes for different folks but I disagree. My season's are in row 10 of PL. I've sat all over the dome and I'd say without doubt the best value is the first 3 rows of PL. You have almost the same view as the top rows of the 2nd bowl (seriously people complain about the view up their so much but you can see the puck without issue and can see all of the ice, what's the problem? I'd say the view is better than the almost anywhere behind the goals or the first 5 rows of the lower bowl), you have the center ice view (as opposed to the ends) and the totally under rated benefit of washrooms and concessions right beside you, all at a significantly cheaper price.
Then you have the worse seats in the dome, which are rows 4-7 of PL which have the stupid metal railings (Cause apparently the dome hasn't heard of clear barriers) and then you have the rest of PL which obviously gets worse as you go up but at least the view isn't obstructed as much.
In the end, ~$25-$30 to go to a Flames game in PL during the regular season means you can go to the game and be a part of the atmosphere for the same price as going to a movie and getting a combo and for cheaper than watching the game at the bar.
Obviously that price goes up in the playoffs which makes the value proposition of PL worse but I'd rather pay $100 and make a night out of it and be part of the playoff crowd than spend that money doing things you can do any time. $100 is right about where I start to second guess the risk of going to a game that turns into a nightmare blow out or something so PL is perfect for that.

People don't like the PL sections because of the extra flight of stairs and the perceived "rowdiness" of the younger crowd up there. I don't think I had sat on the PL after the 04 run and I am not sure if I will go back up there during the regular season.

Can anybody tell me how PL12 row 3 is? Are these in the "lower" press level area? Thanks!

I love my first row tickets in the PL. The tickets are affordable, and easy to resell. The bathrooms are right behind me, I can go and make it back to my seat during a tv timeout. Concession is close, I can give my 10 year old money to go to the concession and not leave my seat because I can see where he is. Plus I can be street level in less than five minutes after the game. Not to mention, that there is no one sitting in front of me. I have a birds eye view of the entire dome. Pretty cool during the playoffs.
