Agree 100%. Anything to get that sack of crap out of the lineup. Watched him at the game last night and he gives ZERO effort - basically looks like he's out for public skating then comes off for a well deserved rest.

What are the chances that 2-3 years from now that player we would have taken at 2nd round picks makes the NHL?
Really, we just turned that asset into Lazar, who while disappointing so far, is on the verge of being a full time player now.
Seems like a safe gamble really.

I remember watching the Edmonton-Portland WHL playoffs back when Sven and Brossoit were Flames prospects, and Lazar really caught my eye playing as a 16 year-old.
I'm okay with this deal.

Comes down to age I think.
No idea why you hate it so much. Outside of a sweet name and nickname Jokipakka doesn't add much and the 2nd is in a weak draft. Not saying you have to like the trade, but there's nothing to hate if you ask me.

I think the answer is "yes", but with the negatives in there, it is hard to tell.
This is a nothing trade. Might work out, might not.

You always have the strongest opinions about relatively minor moves.
Vrbata probably would have given us more in the present, but Lazar could end up being a good player with the change of scenery.
