Has there ever been a trade where players sharing the same last name were traded for each other?

Not to my knowledge.

But the jersey lettering efficiencies cannot be denied.

Sucks to be the guys in that situation. They get somebody else's stinky jerseys, and other second hand rejects with that name and number.

Nobody that currently owns a Denis Wideman jersey deserves any favors regarding being able to reuse or recycle that garbage purchase.

Yannick Weber should've worn #6 and be named captain when he joined the Preds.

Much like how MAF should wear #14 here if we were to pick him up.

any names of the teams interested or is it too embarrassing to announce that they're interested in Wideman? Maybe it's a mistake on which Wideman these teams actually want.

FWIW I was trawling on Twitter & found this totally unsubstantiated rumour:

RUMOUR: Leafs and Flames reportedly talking about potential Dennis Wideman trade per @sam_lucchese10 #TMLtalk #Flames #NHL

Well if anyone could escape the Wideman Effect, it would be the Centre of the Universe

Leafs need scoring help on the back end and have a bunch of wingers. Flames need a scoring winger. I could see something around Wideman for Nylander.

I love getting leafs fans going!
