I wonder if the Canada players flap a lot out there. Seems like the other teams always celebrate in front of their bench. Does that happen in other games without Canada? I haven't noticed but I haven't watched a lot without Canada.

Shots are 23-6 for Canada. Of course it's tied 2-2, what would a WJC be without terrible Canadian goaltending?
Seriously, who's the last guy to have stood on his head for Canada in this thing? When was the last time we had the best goaltender at this tournament?

Probably feels better scoring against one of the best hockey countries in the world.
They probably aren't cheering like that against a crap team.

Pogge in 2006?
depressing
Edit: Price was good the year after and Steve Mason decent in 2008, I think our Goalies have been uniformly crap since then

Visentin? Also I thought Fucale was pretty good two years ago
I guess they probably don't qualify as standing on their head though

Fleury in 2003 in Halifax, than he had his meltdown in 2004. Price
Was good but was never challenged. Pogge maybe?

Nice goal. What a dominant shift by Canada there.

was great.. although on the replay I wonder if the forward would have knocked it away on his wild swing of his stick if he hadn't hit the other Canadian forward.

They both could have had too many men there.

Was always disappointed Tim Hunter never landed a head coaching gig.

I wonder if Canada's problem in goal in this tourney is that they train these kids to be like robots and all about positioning. Not really about athleticism now. That works great in the NHL, but at the WJHC where the D make tons of mistakes it seems to take them completely out of their comfort zone.
Just an Observation.

There was no need for any athleticism on that last goal by Czechia. All he had to do was not led it slide under his pad which was already on the ice. Terrible fundamentals regardless of the style of goaltending.

Excellent vision and awareness of the play/his teammates. He's looked better than Dubois to me.
