It's been said dozens of times, but man Tkachuk is so impressive for an 18 year old (for today at least). Does so many little things perfectly that rookies just don't normally do.

You might not be an outright physical player but no way are you soft when you go to the tough areas to score, knowing you're going to get cross checked in the back like that to do it.

Interesting how in the beginning of the season Winnipeg and Calgary seemed to have similar issues, but today Calgary plays with far better structure.

Jets are definitely not enjoying this game so far. Very hard for them.

I really don't understand why Rick Ball is absent from national broadcasts. I think he's excellent, like a Chris Cuthbert level announcer. Hopefully they start using him more.

It is the biggest thing holding hockey back right now. Officiating needs a complete overhaul in this league.
