Anders Ericsson - 'nuff said
Jay Bouwmeester - came in with such fanfare, extremely underwhelming tenure.
Ian White - basically the whole Phaneuf return but he really annoyed me especially his terrible play, opening night, where he got beat bad by Eberle.
Martin St. Louis - a lot of Gilbert/Buttons fault but had to wait until he left the Flames to become a superstar.
Brad Stuart - waste of a rental, especially when Ference was just coming into his prime.

Ah, if you're the 'hate is a strong word" type then just come up with a "5 least favourite" list

I'm in the "hate is too strong a word" category.
Players I did not enjoy having on the team when they were on the team:
Val Bure
Todd Bertuzzi
Ian White
Grant Fuhr
Cale Hulse

I'd forgotten how frustrating Chris Drury was. Remember when they put him on the point on the powerplay?
The guy was a legitimately awesome hockey player with good hands, but when the puck came to his stick on the point, it seemed like it was at best 50/50 that it was going to be off to the races the other way.
Re: Anders Eriksson, maybe it's my addled brain, but I can't remember what made him so heinous. What the hell happened? My disgruntled-ness for a player losing a Sharks series is reserved for Kidd.

I'm in the "hate is a strong word" camp, so let's go with dislike, but long story short I painted his house when I was in college.

Pretty tough to make this list actually. Hate is a strong word. I generally cheer for everyone on the team. Probably forgetting a few guys, but these are the ones popping in my head right now.
1. Anders Eriksson - Self explanatory. Just not a good defencemen and couldn't stand when he was playing.
2. Jay Bouwmeester - I have a serious dislike for Bouw. Was just such a disappointment. Such an average player for us.
3. Chris Clark - He just frustrated me. Was a good grinder and the 2004 run he was solid, but I don't know always expected more from him. Seemed like a good guy, but just didn't like him.
4. Dennis Wideman - I can't wait for this season to be over solely for the fact that Wideman will no longer be playing for us. Can't stand his game and his decision making most of the time. One of the more frustrating guys to watch play.
5. Jeff Friesen - Never was a fan of his before and defintely wasn't after his season here.

I can't believe how many listed Turek. Sure he was underwhelming but he never complained, stepped aside and let Kipper take the reins. He even played well enough down the stretch for us to give Kipper a few games rest before the playoffs.
He also had Iron Maidens Eddy on his mask.
Most importantly, I can't believe he gave money back to the club essentially saying he didn't deserve to make what he did and being the penultimate team player restructured his contract so we had enough money (budget) to re-sign both Iggy and Kipper. I loved Turek for that.
Most hated:
Boumeester
Ian White
Brad Stuart
Chris Higgins
Drury
The reason? These guys had no passion, collected a paycheck and you could tell they would rather play anywhere other than here. Now that I look at the list 3 are American, so it may be true, they just didn't want to be here and mailed it in.

Flames were playing poorly - just listless out there. Tabby seemed to be getting angry. I forget what team it was, but they dumped the puck in, and Tabby came out with no intention of playing that puck - he just body-checked the fore-checker into the boards. Got called on a penalty from what I remember, but boy that was a huge: "Wake up!" signal to his teammates.

What I'm noticing in this thread is that most of the hated people are defensemen and goalies, and the most loved players in the other thread are forwards.
Is it as simple as this? Do we love players that score goals and hate players that allow goals?
