That Frolik trip during the Jimmy's down sequence is as blatant a trip that I've seen. I get where your coming from, we don't want to rely on blaming the refs for our misfortunes and losses but there have been times this season where, as a fan, I just can't ignore how biased the refs have seemed this year; and that's not just with the Flames, I watch a ton of hockey since coming out east.
It's not NBA bad but it's bad.

Yeah, I'm not one to point at reffing either, but the disparity in calls is getting ridiculous.

we lowkey call out refs, instead of growing balls and making calls, they just stop completely lol.

I give up trying to rationalize each game.
This team is just cursed. Blow it up.

I think it's possible to hold these two thoughts in your head simultaneously:
1) The Flames are not getting the benefit of the doubt with the referees as a group. This may include not getting the call in situations of a blatant penalty.
2) Even though the Flames may not be getting the benefit of the doubt from the officials as a group, this by itself is not what is costing the Flames games.

Good news is the Wings are playing awful right now and coughing up the puck like crazy. Flames just need to find a way to capitalize.

Flames NEED a goal from Ferland here, that line has to start producing something offensively.

And this is how I see it, I mean hey it's not like we would score a goal if we did get the call but joking aside consistency is the biggest thing missing from the refs and It just seems personified this year for the Flames for what ever reason.
It's ok though lots of positives from that period, Johnson continues to look strong and the Flames had two sequences where they've hemmed the team in to the offense zone for a minute or more. The one time it happend to them it burned us (Monahan needs to be better) we are also 2/2 on the PK, so lots to like over the last 3 games and a period.

No doubt about it, I love this line and if they can bang a couple goals in they will really start playing with swagger. I hope Hathway pots one here, want his game to grow here.

It would probably help Ferland's scoring if he had NHL line mates.

Fourth line has looked tenacious. Now that Chiasson is away from the top line I'm not as eager to see him ride the pine

Brouwer getting every opportunity Ferland has earned is embarassing. Always given never earned with Gulutxan.

Some comparisons
Ferland has 7 points through 19 games.
Lucic has 9 points through 19 games.
King 6 points through 19 games
Dorsett 4 points through 14 games
Iginla 4 points through 17 games
I think Ferland is doing ok.

And he's doing it with about half the ice time of Lucic.
Ferland is not the problem here.

Ferland and Brouwer are two players you're totally blinded by, doubt I'm the only one who sees it. Endless love for Ferland and unabashed hate for Brouwer.
Brouwer has played well for the Flames, good start to the year then had a bit of a lull but good throughout. Brouwer is just better, and I've liked Ferland's game much more than last season.

Not to mention that Brouwer's previous career accomplishments may have a little more sway here.

You're telling me 600 games and a Stanley cup is a more accurate assessment of ability than a good playoff series a year and a half ago?
Do you have some kind of Chart I can look at to verify?
