Aaron Ward @NHL_AaronWard
Appears Johnny Gaudreau injury will have him out longer than just the home game tonight vs Arizona Coyotes.

Johnny Gaudreau. Broken finger. Will require surgery. Flames' season just getting worse.

If I was a member of the media, I'd really be calling out the NHL's officiating right now.
What a joke of a league.
Also, I just noticed that Gaudreauvertime is reading his thread. I wonder what his side on all of this is.

Oh well. It's looking like a lost season anyway so maybe a good time to see what some of the young guys in Abbottsford can do. Hopefully a young player can take opportunity an run with it.

NHL officials have never been held accountable for their actions, and an injury to a Calgary Flame isn't going to change that.
so the latter

Refs from last night should probably be suspended as well.

RNH missed 8 weeks with a broken finger last year.
Gallagher missed 6 weeks.

It is very rare that I wish the Calgary media was more like Edmonton's, but in this case I make an exception. They would be screaming murder up North if this happened to the Golden Child, and kicking and stomping there feet until it was a national story

I'm more mad at the Flames than the refs. We had this coming with our complete lack of team toughness this year.
Protecting Johnny should've been high on the list of priorities coming into this season. I thought this was a Brian Burke team?
