If he wasn't being so stupid with the puck, he wouldn't be getting hit all the time. Mosst of the hits are clean; few of the hits are particulary hard. He's just getting knocked off the puck. Johnny use to be more slippery. He's just off his game. Along with Monahan. And Gio. And Brodie.
Hes a league worst plus/minus. And its because he's been responsible for 50+ turnovers this year. He's been awful

I'm telling you, the Flames have an ear in CP.

Oilers aren't much different from last year at this point. So I wouldn't say they are much better. We played them twice in the first 3 games and we gave them confidence going in to the season.
'Member that Vancouver game where we didn't even score a goal? Oh yeah that was Loui Eriksson scoring on his own net.
Canes was just bad. And they don't even have Erik Staal
LA went three games in a row without scoring, then played Pittsburgh and won. They also don't even have Quick in net. It's Budaj. ( http://kings.ice.nhl.com/club/gamelog.htm)
All of this information comes from searching game logs. You should try it sometime.

Unless you got mindwiped, the goaltending was worse last season. Hiller let in a #### ton of first shot goals.

I guarantee the guys care. I also guarantee they're trying. There's a number of reasons I think they're awful:
1) Complete collapse of confidence due to horrible results from changing systems and taking players or if their comfort zones
2) Awful D pairings screwed with any chemistry these guys had. Trying to get it back now 10 games in is incredibly dumb. Like mind blowing dumb
3) Special teams. What kind of system constantly dumps it in where there's no pressure? And what kind of "aggressive" penalty kill is that passive and limp? And really? No correction when you see what they're doing? Sucks excited the exact same pp goal twice. Unbelievable.
The coaching staff is reinventing every wheel and it's ruining everything

It's not the hitting. He gets hacked and hooked more than any other player that I've ever seen. For some reason the refs rarely call it.

I don't know how big you are but have you tried slashing guys 6 foot and counting? Johnny can only do so much on his own and right now he doesn't seem to have a lot of time and space. Guys are pushing him down like a rag doll at center ice and no one coming to defend him is inexcusable.

This is a fragile team. They have zero confidence and no identity whatsoever. We are in for a long season fellas, I see no light at the end if the tunnel.
Who do these Flames remind you of right now? The Dallas Eakins Oilers is a good comparison if you ask me.
