So - big kudos to Journey17; had it not been for her generosity, I would’ve been watching from home rather than sitting in the lower bowl with an insanely good view. We had a great time, which the Flames win only made better.

I said it in that thread and i will say it again. That was one of the oddest things i have ever seen on a broadcast of any sort. Both fascinating (and thats with some knowledge of what caused it) and most amusing.
The cherry on top was walking to the ctrain and one of the costumes coming out from the Halloween party at the bmo center was a a person wearing a Phaneuf jersey with a pylon for a hat.

Elliott, Backlund, Dougie, and Ferland were excellent.
Monahan and Johnny did not look good, but hit the scoresheet. I don't think Chiasson is the right grinder for them but he also hit the scoresheet twice.
I think he's a great fit. That stop start pass to Gaudreau was not only difficult but rarely seen. That line has great potential.... IMO

I honestly don't think they played that bad... The way they were talking about them on the Fan after the game would have you believe they were terrible. They produced 2 goals and had a few decent chances. It wasn't their best game of the year but I think we need to lower expectations a bit. They're not going to cycle it in the offensive zone for a minute straight every single shift. They were fine tonight. Not outstanding, not terrible, but fine.

Yes. Lower your expectations and don't listen to what they say on the fan 960. As a team they looked solid. They Kept the puck out of their net and scored on the chances they had.
