Didn't Johnny Gaudreau sit out the 6th game of the year in his rookie season?
Hmmmmmmmm.

They, as a group aren't good enough.

I'm pretty keen to see Frolik on the top line. Might get them going a bit. Brouwer would of been a good pick, too, but I get why they want to keep him with Bennett.
I reckon we will end up winning tonight, our youngins score heaps of points, CP's rejoices, then we get flogged on Monday.

Will they just let Rick Ball do it?

Gio is pissed and puts the team on his back tonight. Flames make a statement, 5-0 win. Wideman with 2 PPGs.
CP continues with bipolar tendencies and starts planning the parade.

Does cbc still run a free stream to Saturday night games? Or does anywhere? I'm out in BC with no TV, but do have Internet. Thanks!

That's actually an interesting idea....a fan calls the game, maybe periscopes it or something
Would be very barebones without all the stats and player anecdotes but I'd be curious to see how someone unseasoned would do
It'd be difficult to have everything in sync, though

Changing the line combos is discouraging. I think it's the system/strategy more so than the lines. Why split up Backlund and Frolik when they're establishing chemistry. Bouma doesn't have the hands to keep up with those 2, so Ferland should be there. Gaudreau and Monahan don't need Frolik in order to click. . Why sit Tkachuk when he's been one of he most effective and hard working players?
Gaudreau - Monahan - Versteeg
Tkachuk - Bennett - Brouwer
Ferland - Backlund - Frolik
Stajan - Hamilton - Chiasson
Giordano - Brodie
Jokipakka - Hamilton
Kulak - Engelland

Ignoring for a second the legality and logistics of it I think it would be kind of fun. "Wideman gets the puck on the power play but he's not gonna do anything with it because he ####ing sucks."

Plus we might get the added hilarity of an angry Flames fan forced to call a blowout and just giving up after goal 6 at the start of the 3rd. Then 19 minutes of game sound.

This is going to be an interesting game on so many levels... Lots of drama.... Line changes, Wideman back in, coaching staff taking another step towards the unemployment line, Elliot not playing against his former team... Is Gulutzan just a Trojan horse sent by Vancouver...
Too bad Stockton only plays a couple of times a week... A lot more fun to watch right now...
Go flames go...

It should be at cbc.ca/player. Just search for "calgary" a little closer to gametime and it should be there.
also, the game is on SN1 and 360, so if you sign in on the sportsnet website it should be there as well.
