Bennett's fine. He is not suffering behind Monahan. He has everything he needs to succeed and we just have to be patient. This year he has been given Brouwer, who compliments his play, and on the other side a tough as nails winger with hands. He just has to play his game. If anything, having Monahan attract much of the other team's attention should give Bennett more opportunities to kick ass.

The Flames haven't lost at home to Carolina since December 12, 2002. Iginla was not in the lineup. Ron Francis scored two goals -- including the game-winner -- in the 4-3 Flames loss. Conroy, Drury, and Saprykin scored for Calgary, as they fell to 8-14-4-3. Roman Turek (jersey #1 -- same as Brian Elliott's) had a .826 SV%, allowing 4 goals on 23 shots.

Players not likely to continue what they've done so far (sag)
1. Stajan 112.5
2. Chiasson 108.7
3. Bouma 107.2
4. Wideman 105.5
and on the other side of the coin, players likely for an uptick in luck based on what's happened so far.
1. Gaudreau 89.4
2. Monahan 89.6
3. Bennett 90.3
4. Hamilton 91.3
5. Brodie 91.8
So interesting to see Wideman pointed out for PPG in the positive and Bennett now called a bust.
It's four games
|
You've convinced me Bingo. We need to jettison Brodie off this team as fast as possible so Gulutzan's hand will be forced into playing Wideman. Good call!

The Flames have lost every single regular-season game they've played at the Honda Center since January 19, 2004, when they defeated the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim by a score of 5-1. Chris Clark, Martin Gelinas, Josh Green, Toni Lydman, and Oleg Saprykin each scored for Calgary, while Sergei Fedorov tallied the Ducks' lone marker. Roman Turek stopped 36 of 37 shots en route to the victory, while former Flame J-S Giguere allowed five goals on 27 shots in the loss.
Good enough?

We need Moneyhands23 to make a bold challenge. Last time he did, we made the playoffs.

I turn 42 on April 4th this year.
As we all know 42 is The Answer. Ergo we KNOW the Flames will win it.
SCIENCE.

He would be a disappointment for sure but certainly not a "bust" IMO.
Let's say he plays 20 years, can you really call 360 Goals, 360 Assists, 720 Points a bust?
