The whole tribe is built of weak links outside of Zeke and Adam. The rest will follow what the big 4 wants to do and will eventually end up realizing they just screwed themselves.
Hannah was terribly annoying that episode. You just backstabbed your alliance and you want to explain your side.

Aren't millennials people born after 2000?

No, after 2000 would be post-millennials (gen Z). Millennials are early 80's to late 90's-ish, aka gen Y.

Well that was fun. That reward challenge was fantastic. I replayed Jeff getting smoked by wave at the end 5 times, twice in slow mo. He was sure into the action.
Jess really did a bad job at the beginning explaining just how bad Paul's comments were. I'm also not sure why she was getting nailed for it, when lots of people voted for him.
Was sweet to see Lucy get her comeuppance so soon. Even in her goodbye talk she couldn't realize just how obviously controlling she was trying to be. I was kind of shocked to see Ken had voted Jess, I figured he would have been all over voting for Lucy. Maybe was convinced Jess was going and didn't want to be on Lucy's bad side?
I really like that Survivor doesn't have any non-elimination episodes like Amazing Race. Every episode counts.

Well...that's a touch embarrassing, to be the first out in my own game, so to speak.
Great episode tonight, I thought.
I loved that reward challenge, Michaela's went full beast in that one. Too bad she was the only one on her team (props to Zeke, though, he had a mountain to try to stop) to do so.
I figured that GenX would be losing that Immunity Challenge, though. It looked like David was the only one even trying anything with the puzzle while everyone else just watched him. Not sure why Chris was the first in the lift. I'd have thought that David, Lucy and Jessica (or CeCe) would have been the three in the chair/working the puzzle. Neither Chris nor Ken shone much on that, they were just there.
The three Millennials worked well and fast together, sorting things out, and the ones not directly involved helped, too (Zeke put them onto "Somebody").
I was also kinda surprised to see how the vote went tonight. I thought that Lucy had overplayed her hand, but I guess not. That was a HUGE Idol play by David. Gonna be interesting to see how thing work back at the camp...just in time for the shakeup.
Looking forward to the next episode!

That idol play by Dave was massive, that has to be one of the best plays I've seen in the history of the game. It might have been slightly predictable where the votes were going, but nobody at that tribal expected to see an idol, and especially not played from another player. I can't blame Jess for not believing Ken, she was a lot closer to Sunday and Lucy.. but why didn't Dave and CC at least try to confirm what Ken said? If she heard it from three sources it might seem better than just Ken.
Either way it was a great move, the look on Sundays face was like Oh crap. The rest of Gen X might get saved by the merge though. I hope Dave ends up on the right side of the numbers as people who make big plays like that deserve to win the game.

Jess is going to be very loyal to Dave. Maybe the 2 of them(and maybe Ken) can team up with Zeke and Adam. This season has a lot of good potential.

I think Ken is the type of person that will severe ties with people very quick if he feels they wronged him. I mean he lived off the grid...He was being loyal to Jessica, and when she betrayed him by telling Lucy what he said, I think that was enough for him to end their relationship.

Just watched this episode. Wow!
Dave just won Jessica's loyalty completely with that move. I can see those two, plus Ken making it very far if they stick together.
Loved Michaela's little one liner about her ta tas after the challenge.
Adam sharing the story about his mom after he found the idol made me a little watery-eyed.
Honestly wasn't feeling this season in the last couple weeks, but now I'm sucked in. You almost you never see the idol get played that early, especially for someone else - everyone usually keeps it for themselves. Now you might see more of that in the future if Dave goes on a successful run. Loved both challenges today too.

that really was a great episode. I thought it was kind of weird how Lucy seemed to come out of nowhere this episode... basically not even in the show for the first two shows, then this entire episode revolved around her and her ridiculous (and childish) approach to social interaction. She did not play well at all, but at least she admitted it kind of on her exit interview.
Jess played poorly too. I really like Ken and thought that exchange was hilarious, where she basically tried to call him out at tribal council about whether or not he was telling the truth and then he just flatly looked straight at her and said yup, it was true. She knew immediately she was screwed then... you could pinpoint her heart breaking right at that moment.
I'm not sure why a guy would play the idol for anybody else when it's 3 days between tribal councils and so much can change. Nobody can be trusted, why waste that idol on some other meatball that might stab you in the back later? Makes for great tv though.

Dave figured that if Jess went out he was back on the bottom, Lucy might drag him along as her lap dog or they might decide to start picking him, Ken and CC off. With that move and Jess' loyalty his group would have majority votes. He also realized that Lucy was turning into Paul, and they worked really hard to get Paul out. To help his group and his game he saved Jess and took out Paul version 2.0. This is also a massive move he could point to if he gets the chance to defend his case in front of the jury. So far he is building quite the underdog story, and he also built up some big ties with some of the Millenials at that meet and greet which may pay off next week.
Something about Dave's edit tells me they are slow building him up.

If he can tone down his paranoia and desire to control the game the thing Dave has going for him is that he will never be seen as a physical threat. He can be off everyones radar until it's too late for those other players.

I'll give Dave credit, pretty ballsy play and it worked out. Jess will have his back no matter what now. For such a weird and paranoid guy he seems to be playing pretty well. I have a feeling though he is bound to do something just idiotic that ends up costing him and getting him voted out.

The only problem he's got though is that from a strategic view he's now been exposed as a pretty ruthless player, he has to really start building a strong alliance or he's done.
Add to that, Jess isn't going to be loyal to anyone she's proven that, I don't doubt that she'll be eager to blindside David.

What are we 5 weeks into the show?
I have no ideas about my picks. Ken is? And Jay is ?
First time I ever joined a Survivor Pick-Em and I picked these 2.

So tonight...
I don't know what I think about the 3 tribe thing. It's ok at the start, but mid-game like this...they'll be 3 tribes for 2-3 shows, tops, then it's done. I think I'd rather see some of the scheming that comes about from a bigger tribe.
Of course Dave finds another Immunity Idol. Though I was also amused by the regret he was expressing by having used his first one.
Cece continues to stink up another challenge. At first I was wondering if she just couldn't swim...but then I remembered her performance last week, too. Either living out there is rougher on her than it appeared to be, or she's just not a very physically capable person.
Watching Dave in the challenge was painful, too. I was also wondering if he was trying to throw the challenge, or was just that plain inept.
Michaela pretty much beast-mode's her team through another challenge. Very impressive.
I'm not surprised at the vote or the reasoning (and I'm glad that Dave didn't use his Idol for Cece). Hell, you don't even need any other reason to vote Cece off beyond "We'll lose every challenge until she's gone".
