In 15's the team that is scored on has to kick off.

In 7's the team that scores has to kick off.

It was changed, I can't remember when.

The men's comp is also going to be very good.

I am finding the mens basketball games painful to watch with what sounds like an australian play by play guy. He is calling it with the cadence of a soccer match. Its bizarre.

Yeah I'm watching the basketball too and it is weird. I do appreciate the fact that he doesn't use all the corny lingo you get in normal NBA coverage, but he's way too reserved.

GEAR GRINDER: If you google something like "Venezuela Men's national basketball team", Google conveniently has an official looking thing right at the top, with a photo of a Venezuela player and everything, and what appears to be an entire section dedicated to basketball - men's or women's. But all it will give you is the schedule. Click in the normal places for something like a roster, and nothing. It's really annoying, so don't bother clicking on that unless you only want their schedule.

Nishikori looking rough in his match so far. I think this Aussie is coached by Lleyton Hewitt.

Great work by the Canadian women in swimming. So much momentum moving forward to the next olympics with everyone being so young.

that swimming race was crazy, nearly a 3 way tie for silver. Lane 2 seems to be fast. The other races Lane 2 (which is 5th in qualifying) also won medals
