Subban loved Montreal and being a Hab. I'd be fuming if I were a Habs fan. Could you imagine if the Flames traded Brodie for Weber...?

I can't believe Montreal actually did this. What a horrible, horrible trade.

gotta wonder if Nashville tries to call Boston and get his brother over now. The way BOS has been trading lately, may not be a bad idea.

All we need is one big Flames move and that has to crash the servers right?

What's absolutely insane is that Nashville wins this trade if you keep in mind that PK has a shorter contract, is more dynamic and Weber has started to show signs of breaking down.

I'll have to watch more of his games but he still looked like the same old Weber to me whenever I would see him...regardless, I don't believe it is as lopsided as people are making it out to be.

But still fun to debate.

Time for Brad Trade-living to work some magic. Preferably against the Canucks.

Frank Seravalli @frank_seravalli
Credit to #Preds ownership, too. Paid $56m of 14-yr, $110m deal to Weber in first 4 yrs, still willing to move on. Was tough ticket to match

That is a terrible deal for Montreal and bad news for the Western Conference.

I like this trade for Montreal RIGHT now, but in two years it's going to look really awful for a long long time

Nashville is going to have a scary defense for a long time. They had one already, but this just extends the window.

Great move by Poille to get value back on that contract. Weber still has a lot of game left but he's going to be pretty 1 dimensional on the last few years of that contract.

The Preds are shaping up to be a real contender in the West.

Johansen
Forsberg
Neal
Subban
Josi
Ekholm
Rinne

That's a strong core, and just entering its prime. Poile is a wily old fox.
