I don't live in Canada any more so I only have the websites and not the TV channels but I would expect to see something on them if the insiders thought they had the info.

Maybe the sports reader at the Lethbridge CTV station isn't enough of an insider for us to be ripping each others dead grandmas

The Flames are notoriously closed when it comes to information leaks. No. I wouldn't expect a major sports network to break the news, since most of them clearly don't have any insiders deep within the Flames org.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the staff shapes up. Gulutzan ran a top PK unit in Vancouver and I wonder if he will relinquish that to an assistant.

Because you are all Canucks, and everyone hates you.

I feel a lot better, or more optimistic, about this after I watched that YT video.

The most recent we just laid her ashes to rest in the Kananskas last month. And then some losers actually like those comments. No wonder I became more heated.
I seriously shake my head at humanity.
I question the character as having none of anyone that would insult a person's Grandparents or parents like that.
As for Gulutzan I tnought defended my reasons but no that's not good enough. Lynch mob mentality is perfect way to sum up some people's behavior.
But if that makes a person feel tall I will never get that.
You need to stay off the Internet.

In SGs original post he pointed out his concerns with the rumoured hiring of Gulutzan and correlated it to his performance (record) as an NHL coach. Isn't that a reasonable justification? If you are hiring an employee (which the management is) you're damn well going to look at his resume and see what he has accomplished. I'm not agreeing with SG and I haven't read enough of his posts to know whether or not he has an unfounded disdain for Treliving but in this particular instance I can see where his concerns stem from.

This is a forum people. Expect (dare I say welcome) a difference of opinion.
I don't think the response to this person is a result of their objective concerns.

How dare they disparage your grandmothers from the safety and comfort of the Playboy Mansion. The very nerve of them!

I'm still not convinced it's Gulatzen. ....just seems like Rierdan is more likely. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part .....either way though it will be nice to move on to player talk.

I said in some other thread that I wanted a guy with both substantial head coaching experience at a lower level and NHL experience (preferably under a great head coach).

GG ticks the boxes except for having a great head coach as a mentor. On that point, it strikes me that there are some guys who seems to be pretty good head coaches who didn't have that (Mike Sullivan, arguably Joel Quenneville if you dislike Crawford). And there are guys who were assistants under great head coaches who didn't do that well (like Kitchen or Playfair).

In the interview BT said person and then corrected himself to persons. I know its a reach since he is very meticulous in his responses, but it could be something or completely nothing. One thing for sure this organization must be just a pain for media to get a proper read on things.

Scotty Bowman's head coach replacement in Detroit was his long-time assistant Dave Lewis. He lasted two seasons, spent three years in Carolina as an assistant, and hasn't coached since.
