I thought they'd kill Iron Man, didn't RDJ want out?

Pretty sure Sebastian Stan isn't going anywhere for a long time.
Yeah I initially, before watching, was betting on a swerve - looks like Cap is going to die, but Iron Man does instead. But nope, they need him for the Spidey flick.

I think he did until Disney backed up a few dumptrucks full of money to his house.

Thing is, RDJ doesn't have to be Iron Man to be Tony Stark, and Tony doesn't need to be around to have Iron Man. Same with Rhodey, Cap, Falcon etc. They can kill of the actors and the people, but still have the characters remain, existing in the same universe with different people. You could have people retire and someone else bring up the mantel as well. There are a lot of different avenues that can be taken to eventually weed out the current cast, possibly bringing some back in the future, and stil continue the overall plot of the universe. It'll be odd at first, and there will be much scrutiny over how they go about those things, but I don't think it'll be a big deal in the end. This thing could go on for a long time.

Terence Howard was war machine. Anyone remember or care? Probably not.

He was Rhodes in the first Iron Man. He never got to wear a suit though. By Iron Man 2 Cheadle was in.

I more mean killing off the character of Rhodes and having a different character be War Machine, or Iron Man, or Captian America. This happens all the time in the comics. Not just swapping all the actors out and continuing as the originals. I think it would be more cool and 'realistic' that way.

Just saw it with the family. Great movie. Only nitpick for me was Tony's anger at seeing how his parents died seemed overblown to me. He knew Bucky was being controlled - he called him Manchurian Candidate. Seemed way too over the top to cause the rift that it did.

I thought that was totally believable, and was summed up in one line, which was probably the best delivered in the movie: "I don't care. Son of a bitch killed my mom."
I may be paraphrasing it.

Yup, was a great line to really tie it all together.
They have also built to it in the past by showing how much remorse and guilt that Tony has always felt for that night - only to now learn it wasn't an accident but a murder.

Yea so imagine that, the guy who killed your mother by strangling her after killing her husband, your father, right in front of her, is standing right in front of you. I'd want to hit the ####### as well, if not kill him. I don't care what power he was under.

Help, save, whatever.

Just saw it and it is your typical superhero movie which I feel I have seen a thousand times now.
I just wish they could cut these superhero movies down to under 2 hours. They always feel so dragged out.

I thought this was brilliant how Zemo got them all isolated so that he can give them that big reveal and have them try to kill each other. If he had made that reveal sooner, say at the beginning of the movie, the impact would not have been that great, and it might have given Stark some time to digest the whole situation.

Typical in that it has superheros and there's fighting?
I think this was a pretty sizeable departure from the regular formula.

I think it was more succinct than that, which made it even better. Pretty sure he just said "Don't care. He killed my mom". Perfect.

Ya, it was totally believable especially since it was obvious that he could go manchurian at any point, Bucky probably needs to be destroyed anyway.
