Really excited to hear how he plays in Stockton's remaining games! At the development camp scrimmage I attended this year, I thought he looked exceptional.
I hope he works hard and forces his way into the team in the next year.

I don't buy that argument. Essentially he gets an extra 100k guaranteed vs possibly not getting a new contract next year. The flames aren't giving up on him after 1 year even if its disappointing. So I would argue the risk is zero.
Being on an NHL roster for 7 days from now until the end of the season essentially covers that amount. That's worth about 70-100k.

Well, if Hamilton at 6'6", 210lbs can get the job done, Jankowski's bean-pole physique shouldn't be a big deal. It's a similar size to Eric Staal and Artem Anisimov.
