This 4th line of older unskilled guys looks really bad compared to the other 3 lines. "is this some kind of message?" bad

Tobias Rieder has the defensive skill of Jere Lehtinen; no wonder the Oilers traded him

Granted not all players, I'm betting very few, actually want to play for their hometown team. So who knows.
|
I'm wondering if that was something that came from our management at the time. I'm pretty sure it was Feaster &/or co. that claimed he didn't interview well and didn't want Calgary to draft him.

Agreed. And you go there as the hometown hero with high pressure and expectations, and then what if you bust, like MayRay.

Why is our pk four guys lined up down the middle of the ice? Goalie can't see and players have to move sideways to defend. That was Ugly!

This game tonight, Shinkaruk >>>> Poirier. That was what I was talking about when I said be more aggressive, That was excellent pressure by Shinkaruk.

"The Duke" is a pretty annoying nickname, but I'm sure every other fanbase hates "Johnny Hockey" so I can't complain too much. Still, it's pretty bad and unoriginal.

You fire the special teams coach. It has been bad all year and while you can't blame the coach for everything, they have to take some sort of accountability for how bad special teams have been

You could see that PP goal coming a mile away, nowhere near aggressive enough from the PK unit, let them make 2 easy passes. Need to be far more proactive in going to close the man down on the point. That was pathetic.

That's been the PK system all year. It seems to have gotten even more passive

Take less penalties? Sorry, couldn't resist. I think we need a new special teams coach for starters.

Stajan has been terrible this season. There have got to be better options there as the 4th line center.

There was Bolligs response to running Ortio. Take a run at Ortz, and I'll run my elbow through your temple. Pretty bad decision if you ask me.
