And with the money the Flames used signing Frolik, they could have signed even more ELC's!!
Ricardodw that post has nothing to do with Mangiapane at all. Can't you just be happy about what the Flames have and not always try to relate everything to Hamilton and/or Frolik?
Does Mangiapane have any sort of "mean streak" to him? By mean streak I mean is he a bit of an agitator?

Not particularly. He's got a hard nose, and isn't afraid to throw his weight around, but I wouldn't say he is an agitator or has any sort of a mean streak. He plays an "in your face" kind of game, but not in he level of Marchand or Gallagher.

Maybe if we call him nothing but "Eat Bread" and refuse to use his actual name he'll get sufficiently annoyed to get a chip on his shoulder and pester the league in retaliation.

Shinkaruk was a +7 in 45 games with Utica and with Stockton is a -7 in 12 games.
Hard for a minus player to get his NHL shot on the 4th line.
In Dougie Hamilton's first 13 games he was a -11... in his next 19 games he was a +14 including 7 straight games as a + player. What's your point? Shinkurak is in a new system and seems to be adjusting fine in the SHORT amount of time he's been with the team. This seems to be your biggest flaw as a fan - you have no grasp when it comes to understanding that prospects/players take time grow/adjust.
Mangipane clearly has amazing skill. Will be interesting to see how he does in the AHL. I like the fact that he had to persevere and prove himself and is now seeing the rewards of that. Hopefully he can carry that into his pro career as well and do something similar. A lot of players obviously have skill but the right mental make up is likely just as important to becoming a good pro.

Are you seriously trying to derail this thread??? I think Sun must be putting in his request to get you banned.
So for the rest of the year, the last 41 games, he was 2nd worst on the team -12 (Ferland was worse) ...
Why to do have to bring up about Hamilton's plus/minus ? It makes him look really bad.
Take away his spectacular 19 game stretch and he is -26 in the other 54 games. The absolute worse D-man (40+ games played) in the league is -21.
Even with his great streak his -9 on the year leaves him tied for 150-156th in the league out of 184 d-men with more than 40 games. There are 28 d-men in the NHL with more than 40 games that have a worse +/- and 3 of them are rookies.
You should just talk about his scoring...... and only on an appropriate thread.
Oh and as far as "prospects" getting to better understand the game over time: Phanuef, when he was Hamilton's age, was a +12 (4th best on the team) in his 3rd NHL season.
