That's so sad.
I met him when he was working as an usher at the Saddledome. I think he was still in high school at the time because I remember him asking me a lot of questions about my choice of electrical engineering.
I feel bad that I was always chiding him on his spelling. He was a good kid.
Damn.

I didn't know him on a personal level either, but to me he came off as very thoughtful and educated. It's true that his insight and opinion will be missed.

Stunning news ... so sad. RIP to a guy with 22,000 posts on the site, a real contributor.
Had a look at his last post, and it was pre deadline

Always very sad to hear of someone leaving before 'their time'. His body failed him far too soon. Thoughts go out to his family, and all who knew him.

I did not know him personally, so I cannot comment on who this man was in the rest of his life, but I do know him from his life on this board. Here's what I'll remembers about him:
-Thoughtful
-Intelligent
-Empathetic
-Wise beyond his years
-Positive
-Calm and slow to anger
That's what I get just from someone typing words onto a page on the internet. We should all be so lucky to leave such a lasting and positive impact on others in such a limited form of interaction.
Wherever you are Phanuthier, be well and be at peace. You will be missed.

Sad to hear, RIP.
Its hard to remember sometimes that behind all these screen names and opinions is a real person that will go through all the various ups and downs in life.
Condolences to his friends and family.

My condolences to his family, if they read this forum.
It puts the game we watch and get heated about into perspective.
