You guys are some drama queens....they just said he struggled at first and perhaps is not the top PP guy everyone expected him to be. They are correct and neither comment was very negative. They also agreed that Boston would like a mulligan on that trade.

Dougie will be just fine. He'll continue to get more assertive as he matures. Unfortunately he'll never be a physical punisher but on the power play and joining the rush he's going to be well above average.

Any idea on the AHL playoff rules? I see lots of talk of assigning guys to be eligible?

Ray's a chump, he's always been a chump and it must burn him that people will remember his wife's hockey career, and not remember his.

Anyone who has an NHL contract needs to be on the AHL roster at 3pm ET to be eligible to be assigned to the AHL after the trade deadline.

McGuire had it right
Dougie struggled to adjust to a new team at first, getting much better and improving, Boston would like a mulligan eventually.

Feel like Ferraro's assessment was outdated and hadn't taken into consideration his recent improvement and was a little hard on a young guy on a new team at the beginning of the year.

Have to be on the AHL roster at the deadline or you're not eligible to play in the AHL playoffs.

You have to be in the AHL before the deadline in order to be eligible for the AHL playoffs.

After the trade deadline NHL teams only get 4 recalls.

I hope Dougie watches that TSN segment and says just watch me next year! These guys are forgetting a) how young Dougie still is and b) the time it takes for an NHL defenceman to really mature and find his stride. I think Dougie will open a lot of eyes next year !

Ferraro is clueless and has always hated the Flames. I remember him last deadline saying the flames need to find a way to score goals, yet they were top 10 in the league, I think 6th at the time in goal scoring.

Hamilton has 4 PP goals.

So does Johnny.

So does Monahan.

Explain to me how they are correct again?

Again, Dougie has 4 PP goals. He's tied with Johnny and Mony. I'm pretty happy with him already; no need to wait for next year.

The PP comment didn't make any sense. Only recently has he been used on the power-play with any consistency and he's been really good since he's been added.

Is it just me that would be sad if the Flames don't get Nichushkin from the Stars for a package deal involving Kris Russell? I'm hearing a lot of Brett Ritchie but I feel we need a game changing type forward. If Flames are wanting two 2nd round picks, would Nichushkin not be similar value?

One can dream with a top six like this right?

Gaudreau - Mony - Nichushkin/Laine/Puljujarvi
Shinkaruk/Agostino - Bennett - Nichushkin/Laine/Puljujarvi
