This post pretty much describes the absurdity of the state of the game today. I'm still laughing at this guy posting a screenshot that could get himself banned while complaining about hacking looool
The hacking seems far better now, we are saying way less in the DZ and they have said longer bans and perma bans have been going out this last week.
The game up til lvl 30 is terrific, and honestly the DZ is fun again now. The incursion is a disappointment but this game is still early on and there is hope they can turn things around.
I've gotten my money's worth out of the game, at least in playtime, so for me its a no brainer.
Yeah, I actually went into the DZ solo and had a good time...
I had Div Tech boxes galore, all the named elites were there... only a couple of other players, we just waved to each other and went on our separate ways. It was heaven guys... heaven

You must be on console. Still having some issues on PC. Had a go yesterday and was taken down by 3 groups in 10 min. The lowest geared group was 195 (I'm 168), rest were 219. Didn't matter which dz level I entered and I had no loot either. Still odd hacking going on and one guy bragging on internet about how he was banned and yet can still get in the game. Log out of game, log back in, enter dz, all named elites killed, get killed minute later by group waiting for elites to respawn and saying "return the game kid. We don't want you here". Logged out. Hopefully some changes coming down the pipeline for this game.
I manage to finish my first incursion with a bunch of randoms lol. I couldn't do it with my buddies until much later, but I was surprised how easy it was once you get the tactics down.
Speaking of this game, I stopped last week and found out their 2.1 patch will be an attempt to do what Diablo did with loot 2.0, apparently big loot changes and a new DZ bracket for people over 200 GS, so that will be nice, I'll come back when it comes out to give it another shot.

Well the 1.2 patch is looking very promising, comes out on Tuesday. I'll be dusting off the game and trying it out again.
Same. I like that playing the game will now provide upgrades with the new way the loot is being dispersed. And the new high value targets is nice too as you get to explore Manhattan more again.
And just an FYI for people that don't know, the high value targets only unlock once you clear all side missions and encounters in the named areas, so I'm working on those this weekend
Thankfully I cleared all my side missions a few weeks ago because of sheer boredom of the game. I much prefer the PVE stuff to the DZ those can drive a man mad.

Yeah the DZ is hit and miss for me... was in there yesterday and it was cool, not a lot of people around, and it was very chill. Then the server filled up and this group was going around just killing everyone... and it wasn't so much that they were killing people, but how fast they dropped us. I got dropped in three shots, in less then half a second one time by an AUG, and the entire group was 220+
Even popped my survivor link and got melted in a second... the whole group was just so overpowered it was stupid. They were in manhunt for awhile and they didn't hide, they stood in the open and waited for people to come and challenge them.
Just wasn't fun, so I'm glad and my mates are glad that more PvE content is coming and we'll be able to gear up. And with the changes to the DZ I'm more then likely going to be staying out.

I decided to buy the seasons pass, I've spent a lot of time in the game now and even though its been frustrating at times, this game still gives me hope they will fix itself like in the early days of Diablo 3.
The underground seems like a sorely needed addition, should be interesting to see if this expansion pulls back more players to the game.

Looks interesting. Don't know about the striker sentry nerf, especially with the tanktician build running rampant in the dz. The striker sentry combo was the only thing that could challenge them and hopefully bring them down. But, the whole PvP aspect of this game has been broken since day 1 so I can't expect much.
At least the content seems to be more PvE centered which is good.
Going to see how it plays out this month before it hits PS4 and I'll decide on the season pass after.

I finally finished the incursion and honestly my desire to play this game keeps getting lower. My GS is 211, and I really don't feel the need to grind challenge mode or DZ to get to GS228
Besides the bugs today, this experience has sold me on the underground and the added PVE content, not to mention all the changes for the great sets can drop pretty much anywhere now.

I solo'd my way to UG level 15 atm, all missions played on hard difficulty for max XP per minute gain. Hard missions take me approx 5 minutes, sometimes faster, literally run through them, depending on mission modifiers. Hmmmm okay...maybe some dark zone? Same deal, insta booted. Okay, maybe I need to play some HVT weeklys. Oh wait, no matchmaking for that. The only workaround is to do Camp Hudson and do a free roam group. Try twice and really get no group that is working on this.
So most of my friends have quit, and the only way I can get a true upgrade is either a) Challenge mode incursion b) Dark Zone c) HVT D) pray I get a 240 drop in any of the hard or heroic versions of incursion or missions.
Turned it off after playing for 3 hours and debating trading this thing in. (stupid gold edition)

I'm assuming you're on PS4. The Underground has been giving me decent drops to get my gear score up from 184 to 226. Have been getting 268 gs with the level caches along with a couple 229 gs weapons. Most drops have been Blind and Firecrest, but also got a couple of the other sets. I agree with the rest you said and don't see myself continuing on much more if things don't get better.
