Best 80 bucks my girlfriend ever spent on me. She's a Bruins fan so she isn't happy with the ending but we agreed that's the best game we have seen together!!

Was a fun game. First, Johnny scores in the first minute, then a couple minutes later I had to get help to break up a fight in section 217, then the crazy 7 minutes around the end of the 1st, beginning of the second, then the final minute and OT.
Just bonkers. Fun times.

That was one hell of an up and down game emotionally to sit through. The fact that the Flames are right on the verge between rounding back into form and plummeting to the leagues worst makes it so much more impactful.
With each shift and with each goal the season sways between apathy and sadness to excitement and hope. The human body isn't meant to handle such insane swings like this. Every pass, every penalty, every blocked shot and missed assignment puts the team and the season on a crux. If the Flames some how manage to claw their way back into this thing, with injuries to key players and league worst stats, they will truly be the find a way Flames. Tonight was a night that perfectly encapsulated the past 2 seasons and the emotional rollercoaster that is the Flames.

Tonights game is the type of hockey I like to watch. Lot's of what Lafluer calls the Wow factor, Teams going end to end and exchanging chances. Great saves at both ends as a result of great scoring chances. Rates as the most exciting game i've watched this year.
Anaheim just beat San Jose 1-0, so the Flames are currently 6 points back of San Jose (2nd); 5 points back of Arizona (3rd); 4 points back of Vancouver (4th); and 3 points back of Anaheim (5th).

I disliked that penalty shot call. Yeah, I know, knocking the stick out of a guy's ha d is a penalty, but Marchand only had one had on the stick. It wasn't a vicious slash.
Anyway, great game. Plenty of mistakes but that makes for exciting hockey.
