Many people don't believe a flu shot is necessary..myself included. But to say he's anti vaccine is wrong, I doubt Polio, Smallpox..etc. is on his list.
Its more than the flu shot. Maher's not an idiot. Of course he understands that there are diseases out there that require immunization such as polio etc. But he's also spoken out against other vaccines, such as measles, chicken pocks etc. which he feels are not that big of a deal.
Lies. For all of you that don't know the real reason the keystone was veto'd by the liar and chief just follow the money. Warren Buffet was Obamas number one campaign money supporter. Warren Buffet currently makes billions of dollars transporting crude oil via his railways. There is only one reason this was veto'd and it has nothin to do with environmental concerns. Just today BNSF had a derailment of enthonal that has contaminated the Mississippi River.

I think you're misquoting him. He berated someone about vaccines recently on real time

No, I've watched his real time show and I've heard what he's had to say in the past. You can find info in a google search. As I've stated, he may have changed up his opinion which he's allowed to do.
Wow, is this ever a bunch of bull####. Yes, global warming is less complicated than medicine, sure, totally straightforward. Absolute moron. And I just hate, hate his audience, fawning over anything he says... Then goes into antibiotics and talking about medical questions with no one who actually knows anything? "I'm not sure people who get a lot of vaccinations have as robust an immune system". Jeeeesus Christ...
What an awful program.

Are you arguing that the current oil glut, partly caused by US shale oil exploration is fake and just a set-up by Obama?
As for a continent dependent on Saudi, I don't believe Canada is going to not be energy independent any time soon.
Trickey question. Let's bring some facts into play. In 2014 the usa was reliant on 50% crude imports to meet its energy demands. In 2008 and 2012 all the presidential candidates said America was going to become more energy independent (remember drill baby drill). Even with all "shale plays" we still are no where near being energy independent as a continent. Just like the promise of the keystone completion in front of all those Americans at Cushing OK (see YouTube video i posted above) Obama has done a 180 on energy independence for the usa. What do you think the long term result of laying down over 60% of North American drilling rigs will be? Energy independence? Or even more dependent on the "kingdom"? Scary when you start thinking about the power we are giving those kings and princes in the Middle East.
Canada is a net exporter for oil. That means it has more than it uses. However Canada's biggest customer is the USA. Harper was not able to get any other deals done in his 10 year reign of power. In those 10 years Russia made billion dollar deals with China for natural gas. Also there is an obvious deal with the USA and the Kingdom because we can't get the keystone approved and drilling as well unconventional plays (oil sands) are either grinding to a halt or being cancelled out right.
Haha Nobama, join date nov. 2015. Thought I was on fox there for a second.

You must be the Springs1 of the Obama threads. What will your 4th post be about here, Nobama?
Well Duffman, my 4th post is wasted defending myself again from some internet tough guy with "forum cred". I guess new guys have it tough around these parts.
My 5th post will be relevant to the thread topic.

Bill Maher is pro vaccine. Dunno where anyone is getting info to the contrary.
well since I am now a pro at quoting my sources, allow me to enlighten...

Also, in 2005, Maher asserted on his show that “I don’t believe in vaccination.” He then claimed that we “go by the Louis Pasteur theory, even though Louis Pasteur renounced it on his own deathbed and said that Beauchamp[s] was right: It’s not the invading germs, it’s the terrain. It’s not the mosquitoes, it’s the swamp that they are breeding in.”

Shut it, I don't tell strangers what to put into their body's and either should you, I will get a flu shot if I'm about to visit someone in an old folks home or hospital, other than that I let my body make it's own antibodies thank you very much.
If it was all about you, then sure. However the reason we should all get the flu shot is because of the same reasons we do for the ones we give our children, herd immunity.
Its so weird, people who fight so much to denounce anti vaxxers for their nonsense so commonly think the flu shot is just pretty pointless and no big deal.
Its like me arguing that I don't need to wear a seatbelt since I've never been in a crash where I've needed to be wearing it... But worse since the vaccination can help protect others.
Our workplace offers every year free vaccinations, I asked the nurse this year what % she thinks vaccinate for the flu, she said maybe 15%, but probably less. Now 1 month later, our one office area about 25 people work, a lot of older guys who all say "I never get the flu shot, since I never get sick.." We have had so far in the flu season 3 of them miss over a week, one guy missed 2 weeks.
I'm sure next year they will skip the flu shot again...
