He scored two goals with that shot last year, which is two more than anyone else scored using the same shot.

Aside from that, the top pairing is looking more poised.

He uses it to keep goalies honest. How many times has he passed it cross crease to Wideman alone for an empty netter? Goalies can't cheat or lean when Gaudreau has the puck in the corner.

Gio with Engelland stabilize the defense quite noticeably. Wideman also has a good game so far

So did Saprykin, but he always tried it! So frustrating.

Johnny uses it well at least, backs goalies into their net for his next rush.

True, I didn't think about how much it must get into the goalies head when they need to be wary of that shot

I told him to relax. It’s not the end of the world. It’s a long season. Last time I played in Winnipeg, I had my coming out party, so I feel for him coming into Winnipeg here.” - Gaudreau on Bennett

I actually talked to him about that last night,” said Bennett, who will face the Jets on Friday-- his fourth game of the year. “He told me it took him five games and then he got a goal and an assists and then it started rolling for him. He told me not to worry about that and just play my game.”

I think Maurice was trying to match the Scheifele-Ehlers line up against Kulak-Engelland... I guess Hartley wants none of that.

Hasn't been the best game for the Stajan line, but we'll see.

He's just taking extra shots to lower his shooting percentage this season so people can stop using it as a reason why his play is unsustainable.
